When my old DVI monitor is connected via DVI>DVI it doesn't wake up, at least if a video was paused on mpc-hc (don't know if related, didn't test further after it happened twice in a row). Using a DVI>HDMI cable is ok.

I gave up on AMD when it became random whether my display was detected as HDMI or DVI.
This would mostly be DVI and would change during a live windows session.
DVI has no audio, HDMI does.
Playing a game or movie resulted in many many reboots trying to get audio working, it drove me nuts.
It became such a bollock ache I moved back to NVidia and its been easy going since.
I am not pleased with NVidias latest offerings performance or price and want to consider AMD again but it seems they are struggling as always.

No, they didn't really struggled anytime. Maybe you just had a bad monitor, not AMD-s fault. I recommend to try it before you buy anything, like wit another monitor, or... Idk, but that doesn't seems to be a well known AMD problem.

Strange you would ask that when I qualified it worked fine after moving to an NVidia card.
fyi it did the same on 3 displays, 2 monitors and a TV. (and my AVR)

dont listen to them, i feel your pain. multimonitor setup with amd was and still is suboptimal. even more they will tell you it works like intended and the error has to be on the customers side.
im struggeling with this mess since hd7870. if navi isnt going to handle my multimonitor setup, nvidias super will be my next choise. Im done.

Not to mention that monitor wake up problems aren't new. Some 5 years ago unresponsive screens after standby took a long time to go away on my 7870 and a friend's too, both very different models and setups. Recently other friend on a RX480 had a white noise screen after waking up monitor (dvi>dvi), requiring to replug.

I dont know why i never had such problems with my R9 380, really...lucky?
Always have the newest drivers...My monitor is plugged in with an HDMI -> DP (20$ Belkin cable) if that matters at all...

Your card+monitor behavior probably aligns with what AMD usually has for testing. As far as I remember in recent years, DVI connections been problematic, and the removal of DVI connection options didn't help. Now that their cards are missing DVI ports, compat. testing might be getting worse.

I also don't get the idle memory speed problems on single monitor some Polaris users are having on this thread on my RX480. Maybe AMD should get a broader selection of HW on their driver QC to account for mistakes their partners might be doing too.

I have the clocks issue with my rx480 the only way to solve it was with a rx580 flash.

Sounds like a solution but, MAYBE, you will face another problem later because of that bios flash.

    Its 50-50.:)

Are there file size/date differences between WHQL and 19.5.2 beta?
If not, then it's pointless to download it, unless you are BlackZero.

I'm expecting just a WHQL signature version and maybe some additional bundled software compared to the "beta" from earlier, hoping for a 19.6.1 driver soon but eh we'll see.

    Upcoming, upcoming...

Octopath on the 12th and Bloodstained on the 18th both on Unreal Engine 4 I think. Probably other titles though these two might not be part of the game support stuff we'll see it's just two releases I know of coming soon-ish.

And then bug fixes and other enhancements I'm sure, we're about one or two months from the Navi GPU's too no? Plus chipset stuff for the 500 series motherboards too and Zen2 with the new Ryzen 3000 CPU models.

EDIT: Win10 hmm no probably not yet for Gears 5 or Halo Master Chief Collection (beta test.) and for Epic Games Store...Heavy Rain maybe?

Well for some game releases and trying to think of the larger touted releases at least, could be just about anything from a smaller bug fix driver to more features though not the end-year driver type for ALL the features. :D

    EDIT: Wolfenstein Youngblood!

But that's the 26th so well off for a 19.6.2 or later though it's not often we're hitting a .3 for monthly releases from memory.

    "One Stoned Wolf."

Eh it sounds better in German I'm sure.
(Well Ein Stein is more like what what that would be and probably Wuff or Wulf...I haven't practiced German in years so yeah.)

    EDIT: Next month...well 19.7.1 perhaps then. :D

    Octopath - June 7

So Probably 19.6.1 Tomorrow...and after that 19.6.2 Last week of June.

Oh that's right ESO is getting another expansion and probably further engine changes and MotoGP and racing games in general tend to be really popular too so that's a candidate there.
Chaos Bane is let's see the Warhammer ARPG I think it was.
