AMD introduces two more Ryzen 3000 processors that it did not show during the keynote. It concerns the Ryzen 5 3600 and 3600X. Both are hexacores with twelve threads and a 95W TDP for the 3600X and 65...

May be higher base clock (even then it doesnt make sense , as it is a 6 core cpu vs 8core)

way too loose rating so they fit almost any quality chip has 6 working cores from 66 watts up to 95 so lower binned chips the only thing i can assume other than 1 of the 2 is a lie really

edit (forgot to say what i wanted to begin with ...lol )

Darn it ... i was so hopping 8 cores for the r5 to be true .... right now with my 1600 i might hold and not get a 3600 maybe later down the line a 3700 when the 4000 series arive will see

Nice, that 3600 is great bang for your buck.

Exactly, it's just 200Mhz difference, it shouldn't make such a TDP difference.
I'll go for a 4.4Ghz chip, undecided on the number of cores though.

That 3600x is what I want. Perfect upgrade from my 1600.
Ill still be on my X370 for a bit till I get an X570 board.
I dont know if I will replace my ram as its 3000 currently.
I may do it down the road also.

If they can offer similar max clocks like 8/12 cores, they gonna sell like crazy for gaming PC builds including 144Hz+ gaming since ST performance won't be an issue any more.

$200 USD for a 6/12 chip with IPC that's probably beyond Intel. About time. Screw you Intel, my wallet still hurts from those 11 years of abuse.

I want that 3900X... but $500 USD is likely to end up being $800 CAD before it gets into my hands after conversion, the "charge Canadians more" tax, and tax tax. And the environmental fee, which is also taxed even though it itself is a tax. Maaaan, I was hoping to pay no more than $600.

Is it not safe to assume that a 6 core chip will struggle with games that push the upcoming consoles(if they do end up with 8/16 @ 3.2GHz)? PC versions may be clocked much higher, but the consoles do have 2/4 more cores/threads...

I highly doubt it. Even an X58 6 core can still push games rather well and they are behind sandybridge IPC.
Alot of games still dont even push all of my 12 threads beyond 50% most of the time.

You seem to be missing my point) The PC isn't yet getting ports of those upcoming "beasts". "X58 6 core" @ 4GHz is indeed still doing great.

Cry me a river, it will be at least 650€ with tax here in EU, that's almost a 1000 CAD.

Nay, that would be $600 USD base. It will be around 550 EUR with tax in EU.

That's without any markup and assuming that the retailers actually account for the difference of USD and EUR, which they typically don't.

Actually here even RTX cards costs exactly USD MSRP (w/o VAT) * conversion_rate * local_vat. Time of crypto price gouging is over for now.

Wrong. And even if it wasn't, that'd only be specific areas, not the majority. Year after year I've seen EU prices, they're only "higher" than CAD prices due to taxes being included in the base price while they aren't here. I know using your brain isn't your strength, but Canada is right next to the US and a lot of the costs associated with selling in other countries does not apply here at all. It's straight price gouging here as opposed to fees you don't see listed on the price tag in the EU. On top of that, it's all relative to the income and cost of living of the average person of not just the specific country, but area.

Being Canadian, that river would cost more than you could ever afford. Don't ask for what you can't have. 99% of which would go to a multi billionaire politician with all their funds in an offshore account. Hey, they gotta keep growing their Lamborghini collection somehow, without paying for it themselves.

If you think life is so cheap and easy here, feel free to move here any time.

Great that you got me so figured out and know what I can and can't afford. You live in one of the richest parts of the world, yet you cry over the price of the electronics. If it is so extremely expensive, as you claim, then just buy it from US, since "Canada is right next to the US".
