NVIDIA removed the option to disable the telemetry through the Services.

Must say that Metro Exodus DX12 plays phenomenally on this driver set with Windows 10 1903! Much better than DX11, which has a lot more framerate dips and CPU spikes.

I've always used the Task Scheduler to disable telemetry. Is there somewhere else they've added it too?

There's now 3 places that have telemetry.

    1. In Task Scheduler named "NvTmRep" which is for the NVIDIA Telemetry Container service.
    2. In Services named "NVIDIA Telemetry Container"
    3. In a plugin form named "DisplayDriverRAS" which runs/hides inside of nvdisplay.container.exe
    Located at,
    C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Display.NvContainer\plugins\LocalSystem\DisplayDriverRAS

To disable a scheduler just highlight one and in the right pane click disable.

I noticed that on my PC NV Container was using 18% CPU power. Ater checking for a reason for this I found it was only happening after the machine woke from a sleep state. I killed the NV Container process in Task Manager, let it restart and the CPU usdage dropped to 0%. After a few more hours of use it was still showing at 0%, I then put the PC to sleep and then woke it up. NV Container was once again showing CPU at 18% so in my case it's the coming out of sleep that's the cause.

My guess would be the telemetry is programed to run/collect data after wake and is getting stuck...

Where's the guy that always defends telemetry now...

Does it worth the update right now, or should I wait for hot fix?

The concept behind telemetry gathering: If you torture the data enough, it will confess.

Awesome! I've been doing 1 and 2 for ages now, but had no idea about 3. I just noticed that my Nvidia container was eating up a chunk of CPU time as well..

It appears that NVD can consistently reproduce the problem, so I'd probably wait for a hotfix.

Seems like FH4 and 430.xx drivers don't like each other (on my computer at least, win 10 1809)
Tested it with 430.00 at the time and now with 430.39 and get 90fps with both @2560x1440 maxed out vs 96fps with 425.31...

    Observations so far:

    * NVCPL only displays "manege GPU usage" all other fields blank or just plain missing.

    * Unstable, and prone to causing a blank screen when entering or exiting an application

*Does not want to stay in 10-bit color, after restart it resorts to 8-bit

*Slight stutters, and long game level load delays.

    * Issues with mGPU - does not seem to want to use other cards, but makes them hot and spins up fans.

Verdict on this driver: half-baked, some telemetry bs (getting worse), and overall a bit of a mess.

reverted to latest vulkan dev driver, issues went away

Can confirm, whatever was done in R418 to make FH4 faster seem to be missing from R430 so far.

No issues otherwise. Some minor gains in Hitman 2, some minor gains in SOTTR.

This is the first version that Disable Nvidia Telemetry v1.1.0.16 does not work with.

Also the very simple command I always used to run no longer uninstalls Nvidia Container - the following command was executed:

    rundll32 "%PROGRAMFILES%\NVIDIA Corporation\Installer2\InstallerCore\NVI2.DLL",UninstallPackage NvTelemetryContainer

I'd be interested of any other tools which can remove and/or uninstall the Nvidia telemetry without the need of modifying the drivers.

I don't think they added a new telemetry, but now they hid the telemetry and is really cheesy move.

Can I know why you disabled the NVIDIA driver profile updater? There's two options \NvProfileUpdaterDaily & \NvProfileUpdaterOnLogon

    I consider it bloatware: https://www.nvidia.com/object/profiles.html
