I've been trying to fix stutter for quite some time now. I've read a lot of threads on this, and tried almost everything on except swapping parts.
This thread is my last attempt to fix this. I've spent way too much time trying to fix this already.
I think I could have bought a new pc if I worked instead lmao.

    My specs
    - GTX 1060 6GB
    - i5 6500
    - evga white 500W
    - Samsung evo 860 500gb
    - ASrock z170m extreme 4
    - Ballistix sport RED 2400mhz ddr4 8gb(2x4gb) in dual channel

    My problems:
    Frametime spikes
    - duration of the spikes differ from game to game
    - quantity of spikes differ from game to game
    - frametime graph in FURMARK (Clean windows 10 install, no tweaks) 1000ms polling [IMG]
    - will provide unigine superposition graphs soon
    -

    What I've done:
    - Multiple windows reinstalls (7 and 10)
    - different driver combinations (motherboard provided, latest, windows update only)
    - checked temps
    - cleaned pc
    - run off UPS power only(disconnected from mains)
    - Memtest86 whole night no errors
    - Prime95 whole night no errors
    - downclocked GPU
    - downclocked RAM
    - disabled Speed step, turbo boost, ce1 states in bios
    - updated bios
    - dpc latency fine
    - all kinds of tweaks (hpet, etc,)
    - different storage configurations

    My conclusions so far
    - Storage is not the problem, unless it's caused by the controllers on the motherboard. Tried different hdd's and ssd's. Motherboard only has INTEL sata ports.

Feel free to ask for extra information
I will do anything, even videos

    Thanks

On what version of windows are you now what build ? and second there could be a thirt party program eating up cpu and gpu usage

and no, this is a fresh install, nothing running in the background. Trust me, if it was as simple as that, I would have figured it out by now.

Just a moment Fresh install 1809 17763.437 is it from a refresh iso otherwise the end number should be lower I believe but that aside you also might take a look at afterburner it's a beta

Oke maybe you could check if all the necessary drivers are installed for chipset and one and one I personaly use driver booster for that it could be missing software for the OS to run properly

And is there a posibility that the beta afterburner you are using is giving false readings ?

Have you checked for IRQ conflicts? If your board has onboard sound then GPU / HD Audio conflicts are fairly common.

    haha, unwinder himself
and yeah, the stutters are visible. If they weren't I wouldn't even have downloaded afterburner in the first place...

MSI mode for PCIe devices (little hope but who knows)

Timer resolution (I seriously doubt it will help but again - who knows)

There are several tools for that which do the same exact thing. And btw Wagnard implemented timer resolution tweak in his app for standby memory fix (first link).

Depends where, also 8gb system memory is not enough anymore.

Sometimes there is a spike but frame rate is smooth and if the picture is smooth too then don't worry about frame times.

Well in something like newer Tombraider or any BF or COD or RE, etc that exceeds 8gb it can and will have delay and lag spikes.

Some games just have it no matter what, mostly those with poor streaming mechanism, a few u3e games are really had.

Well, the furmark graph seems rather erratic. And I doubt furmark has any kind of texture streaming. If someone can provide furmark frametimes from their system, I can see if the gpu is the problem or if it's a furmark thing.

Frametime spikes are normal, when running with uncapped fps...

Use RTSS to cap the fps. At what fps depends on what monitor you have.
