Here are some actual game benchmarks for 1080Ti, the video is in Russian but if you forward to gameplay it has on screen stats in english, the one with higher FPS is without RTX and one without is with RTX enabled

Try BFV and Tomb Rider, i posted a video of actual gameplay so they should work, if they wont then you have some problem.

I believe that when it is well implemented it will be correct, it happened with the Physx, Teselation ... that was implemented in the software of graphics engines like Unity, Unreal ...meanwhile:( :

PD: Can I put links to youtube in this forum, or violate any rules ?, I'm new here.

Denial gave same answer, so can appreciate that. Just did not occur to me that indies would be wasting time on RT at this early stage of the yet-to-mature tech. Time also = money. One would think indies on "tight budgets" would just prioritize game-play and get their 'budget products' out ASAP rather than expending resources on bleeding edge graphics tech which traditionally was the realm of triple A titles.

The 2080Ti would have the same CPU usage at 100% GPU load and 16fps, just a huge GPU bottleneck with RTX enabled on the 1080Ti so the CPU has all the time in the world to do its thing.

Can we get a full test of all cards that suport DX-R on 1080P.

I have a factory overclocked 1080 ti and the first clue that DXR in BF5 is working was glimpsing the reflection of a plane in a puddle as it flew by. That was cool.... But what I really wanted to see was inside the building at flag B on the Rotterdam map. That looked so swank. Sparkles and shine all over the place. Unfortunately the FPS dropped to the 40s and I was seeing long lag spikes with DX12 enabled anyway. DXR is not useful to me for games but it did satisfy my curiosity.

I can confirm, if you don't have the option available in-game, do what I wrote above, the option will appear.

There are two things you probably need to do here.

    1. Install Windows 1809
    2. Enable Dx12 within the Game.

This is definately necessary for BFV, so I would assume it applies to Metro

This. 1809 is the only reason I switched from LTSB 2016 (1607 build) to LTSC (1809 build), only then I could activate RTX / DLSS in BF5.

Remove any overclock on the memory. Maybe its a driver issue.

I removed the Overclocks, that wasn't the issue, the driver is installed clean with DDU, definitely not that. I have seen this before. Either a memory module dying or one of the shader cores are also not working correctly. RTX/DXR pushes the card very hard. I think I will have to return the card before my warranty expires, which isn't long from now, 2-3 months left on it. :O

Metro Exodus in motion, at 720p if you can play.:(

At 1080p with RTX High it seems stable and there seems to be no big difference with Ultra

So, who in here uses ray tracing in most of their gaming time? And if so, what percentage of your gaming with RT on in online PvP gaming (BFV for instance)? I get that the RT etc is nice for development and other tasks besides gaming. What percentage of the RTX cards are used primarily for that purpose?. I bet the overall per percentages to all three questions is very low. So, why force everyone to pay for RTX cores in the top tier products 2060 and up? Justify it all you want, but if you paid $1300 for a 2080ti, well, good luck with that.

A bad buy is a bad buy, regardless of how wealthy you are. The 2060, an ok buy, the 70 is the worst buy of them all, maybe the 80 over a used 1080ti, but for 500vs800, probably not. The 2080ti is worth around 800 to most people. $1200 is just retarded.
