Thanks! I'm off to try these for a while and report back. I thought I had a stable release in 417.71, but I've been getting more and more DXGI device removed errors in more and more games. REALLY annoying when you lose a bunch of progress.
Back in BF3 & BF4 days this error usually happened if you had bad gpu oc and or driver corrupted.. reinstalling the same driver (overwrite) fixed such errors.
Yeah, I've tried stock and what I thought was a stable OC and had it happen. I'm on these drivers as of today, but haven't gamed yet. Superposition and 3dMark seem to be stable over several hours nonstop, so I hope that holds true for gaming. My friend and I lost an hour of a tough fight in Divinity OS 2 the other day from that stupid error... Also, I must have the absolute worst 1080Ti FTW3 of all time. Anything more than +13MHz on the core, no matter the voltage (1.031v through 1.093v) and it is no longer stable. The one time I splurge on a GPU and it overclocks like it has asthma. So yeah, I'll stick with the stock core speed of 1911 instead of the insane 1924 OC. It must be a "too good to be an SC2 chip and just meets the 1900 core requirement of an FTW3" type of chip or something. Worse OC'ing GPU I have had in 17 years of buying computer hardware and pushing all of it... Thanks for this! Used to know how to figure that out on my own, but have since forgotten.
