1500mhz is achievable only on best binned chips.

These cards are using XTR version of the chip instead base XTX.

MSI Radeon RX 580 Gaming X+

Asus ROG Strix Radeon RX 580 TOP

Gigabyte Aorus Radeon RX 580 XTR

    Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ SE

    XFX RX 580 GTR-S BE

Because we got the gpus to give us the most fps possible, so we get the best performance.

Dont really care about the W this is puling. If I can will unlock all the performance out of it.

My 580 is pulling double that, mostly around 220W but thats heavily overclocked. When i got and when i started playing with it i saw even 260W at some point(lol) so i had to ask @Fox2232 is that even safe with this vrms and apparently its not. :D

Damm 1540, run superposition and world of tanks encore, if it passes those it stable for the most part. I can run heaven with 1470 but not the rest.

I'll download these stressing engines and let you know the results.

As for gaming, I've played far cry 5 for a couple of hours with no noticeable problems, also played GTA V; after a few minutes all the cars get glitched with no crash, it's fine @1520mhz

Trixx makes me able to feed it 1.3v and that let me crank it up to 1600mhz in heaven for a few minutes before it collapses, I believe VRMs loses a lot of their efficiency at that level as I've noticed a huge fluctuations in voltage.

On my rx 480 anything above 1.175 just shuts down. Even with the nitro + bios

You could be power limited. I think there is a benefit to running 8pin+6pin like on my Aorus XTR.

Probably, Well im done with it, found the limit and the ram limit also. They are good cards and they have been gaining on the gtx 1060.
Next will be a Vega 56 pulse or a crap 64, will put my Artic accelero on it and have fun.

I think my rx 480 is going to the grave, no display sometimes and I had to revert to original bios, holds stock clocks thats it. No more fun and games, time to go to vega :)

I was thinking and I did some stuff wrong, maybe its the monitor or drivers. I can be playing AC odisey its a heavy title, the monitor goes of and on again like off, Asus display start up and good image again, games goes on as nothing has hapend no drops in fps nothing even the sound continues.

Will DDU and rolback to stable drivers.

has anyone had this problem or similar? Really love my rx480/modded

I have this rx480 since 2016 and modded never had a problem. I have like 1.3v with 1450clk and 2160 mem with 1.175v good temps with my cooler on it.

Will DDU when I get home and see if that will solve it, really strange the monitor going off and on and on the back all is fine.
