UPDATE 4/4: We have released Build 18362.30 (KB4497464) to Windows Insiders in the Fast AND Slow rings. If you have updated to Build 18356.21 – this build will be offered. Build 18362.30 includes the following fixes:

    • We fixed an issue where AAD users were not able to sign-in after updating to 19H1 on AAD-joined PC not enrolled into MDM.
    • We fixed an issue where users were unable to enable\disable .NET Framework or other optional feature- on-demand (FODs) after installing recent Cumulative Updates.
    • We fixed an issue where a user’s PC may get into a unbootable state after installing a Cumulative Update and then installing a optional feature-on-demand (FOD).

not until it actually reaches the release preview ring, which will happen later in April
public release of 1903/19H1 begins next month (May), not April

So are 18362.1 non-insiders supposed to get KB4497464 through WU or should we just install the .cab manually?

Manually, the entire build is still only an IP build so you won't get anything through WU unless you are in one of the rings the build is also in (Other than defender updates)

But will it still be 1903?
Probably yes. And a proper Release Preview :)

Yes, only build numbers change, and the main build number will only change now if there is a showstopper bug and they are forced to release a new build, otherwise only the second part of the build number changes with CUs

Last couple of releases did not release on the month of the version number either

After successfully manually installing .30 my windows update stopped working so I'm back on 18362.1. Not sure what when wrong there. Worst-case scenario, I'll update straight to "real" RTM

you know i keep reading about those servicing stacks, it always mentions to have most recent versions install, isn't that supposed to be picked up by WU when its needed? cause from everything i read is seem like that is manual update only?

They just released that CU which takes the build from 18362.1 to 18362.30 i think. Can anybody upload that CU, which is the major bug they fixed. I'm gonna go ahead and put this RTM build on USB and wait to install it on three systems soon here. Let me know, thanks in advance.

Should come through WU too if you are in the IP ring I'd have thought, think that's where MDL capture the .cab links from, but I don't join any of the IP rings so not sure

Doubt it will be here next week

The final May 2019 Update build will spend increased time in the Release Preview Ring of the Windows Insider Program, allowing us to gather more feedback and insights on compatibility and performance at scale before making the update more broadly available. During this period, we are significantly expanding interaction with our ecosystem partners, including original equipment makers (OEMs) and independent software vendors (ISVs), which should help improve initial quality across a variety of devices, hardware and software configurations.

The May 2019 Update will start to be available next week in Release Preview. We will rollout the production-quality Release Preview in phases for early adopters through the Windows Insider Program. Users already taking part in the Release Preview will receive monthly updates via normal channels.
