I rarely run Heaven so I have nothing to compare this with. Hope it helps track down the issue though.

I happen to have some old scores of Heaven, I ran at same settings and got within 0.3 fps of an old Win7 test, 72.8 verse Win10 1809 fps 72.5.
That was driver 344.16 verse 419.67

You don't see very well, do you? o_O

In the post that I replied to, YetYhunter's post and image clearly indicate GTX 1080.

In usual nvidia style there is a new hotfix driver

    https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4789?linkId=100000005609593

GeForce Hotfix display driver version 425.11 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 419.67 (R418 release). This Hotfix driver addresses the following:
    • Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands: Game crashes when accessing the inventory menu
    • Ark Survival Evolved: Fixes random crashes on GeForce RTX 20 series GPUs
    • Fixes corrupted graphics in games on ASUS ROG Strix GL702VS notebooks introduced in driver 419.35

What's odd about these drivers is that I can play Metro Exodus with DXR and DLSS enabled, but if I try to run the benchmark...it fails...

Drivers have nothing to do with this, it's the new update for Exodus. Try running the benchmark in desktop resolution.

So no reason at all then, and it's not going to become standard lol, maybe standard like how UWP was supposed to turn out, but face it, UWP is a joke and always will be.

Yes, but that benchmark is old, on newer games your card will show much better results.

since maxwell the heaven benchmark became a little irrelevant, i even saw the 780ti stock beating the 980, so figures old benchmarks never get well with new hardware
