    Hi

After I formatted my PC a few days ago, I started getting BSOD every now and then, which I didn't have before.

The only drivers I updated was the Intel RST and the Nvidia drivers as I recall

    I tried 2 nVidia different drivers now the 419: 35 and 67.

Any one can help me addressing the issue, as I googled a lot and have found nothing helpful.

I changed for now the TdrDelay to 10 seconds, but I can not risk having BSOD any more and losing my work.

    Dator\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers

    My PC: https://www.notebookcheck.net/MSI-GT83VR-7RF-206-Titan-SLI.204026.0.html

Windows 10 1809 build 379 and now using the insider build 402 which didn't help
    Nvidia 1080 2x SLI diver 419.35 and now 67
    Intel RST driver 17.2.1009

It is something has to do with the driver cause I have never had any BSOD before formatting.

Edit Funny thing, I can't find the memory.dmp file

Edit 2: I reinstalled using DDU although I think it will not help

Sometimes the Sleep functionality of the display might also cause this BSOD. Sometimes while the graphics card’s drivers are being used in the background, the display goes to sleep, and then when it is awakened, it may cause this BSOD.

Also check temps of CPU and GPU and disable hardware acceleration on current web browser

    If temps OK.

    Reformat will help!

I will test the DCH driver later tonight and return.

And I am thinking using older RTS driver, but I can't remember which one I used before? but I will try another one

    I will return of course

Thanks, I will consider reformatting again, although my windows was a mess before but I didn't get any BSOD :((((

Users have reported monitoring software can cause issues....like Throttlestop for example

killer network software, I though of it

In the system threads I always see high cpu usage of the file KfeCo10x64.sys which is used by killer network to monitor the network,

It is strange cause the killer monitoring software is closed, and I used to have it before formatting without any BSOD??

I will contact killer network about the high cpu usage

I will, thanks I didn't see results of reporting monitoring software causing BSOD.

    I will return of course

I checked, the file KfeCo10x64.sys and killer software are newer than the old one before format, although the killer Lan and Wireless drivers are the same after and before format which are the latest.

It maybe a reason, I will disable the KfeCo10x64.sys and I will returned.

When i've had BSOD problems in the past ,i've used a program called BlueScreenView , you can download it from majorgeeks.com BlueScreenView scans all your minidump files created during 'blue screen of death' crashes and displays the information.

For each crash, BlueScreenView displays the minidump filename, the date/time of the crash, the basic crash information displayed in the blue screen (Bug Check Code and 4 parameters), and the details of the driver or module that possibly caused the crash (filename, product name, file description, and file version).

    Hope this helps :)

@Singleton99 BlueScreenView is a nice app, thanks!
@mbk1969 @Singleton99 The thing is I disabled error reporting,
I must thank you now. I uninstalled the killer driver package, and installed only the INF files using device manager.

The first thing I have noticed is that my laptop became much faster :)

I deleted the TdrDelay value in the registry to check and I will return.

If a new BSOD occurs I will enable windows error reporting.

    Thanks you guys,
    Best regards /Anna

    @Anna9

There are two independent things - error reporting and mini-dump creation.

Also BSOD info can be in Event Viewer (usually in System log).

PS And Killer NICs are famous for their terrible software.

@mbk1969 How to check the mini-dumps, I couldn't find them, or find the memory.dmp file

BlueScreenView shows me nothing, empty log

I filtered only errors in the even viewer but couldn't find anything related to dxgmms2.sys, although I could see it in the BSOD

mmmmmm, I told you there are no dump files created :)

The only cause came to my mind that I disabled windows error reporting, in both registry and services
