It really feels like there's no story in this one compared to the first one, the first one had the audio tapes and echoes and drones which really contributed to the backstory and atmosphere etc. etc. Not to mention of course there's nothing better than shooting the oxygen tanks on the backs of the Cleaners (as well the Cleaner boss being the best boss in the game with his triple explosion hit spots).
Not sure if you're unaware that D2 has Echoes, tapes, cell phones et al as well (or maybe you meant you just preferred the ones from D1), just saying. No shooting of oxygen tanks yet, but I'm only L13, and I am constantly seeing new stuff as I go along.
Erm... there's echos and tapes scattered all around DC. Looks like you're negative about a game you haven't even played for more than an hour. Which is fine, but games like this, where it's all about reaching end game and rattling n00bs in the DZ, they need some time investment. About mobs, they are so much better in TD2. Some of them will rush you, some of them will cover up. They now go prone and bunker up and make themselves a lot harder to kill too. All yellow mobs also have their weak spots, even some ordinary red mobs have a weak spot. They're so much better.
Aw damn... sounds like D2 was everything I hoped for and then some. Well, all the sweeter later on then I hope.
Plus 15 hours or whatever it was on the private beta... And yes of course it does have those weird radio recordings and it has echoes, but it seems to be a significantly lesser amount of backstory to me compared to the first one.
DX12 runs significantly faster? https://www.dsogaming.com/news/the-...-20fps-increase-in-cpu-ram-limited-scenarios/
I haven't benched it with the in game tool (because that would mean I would have to stop playing ) but that was the general consensus during the beta.
Yep, it runs faster but some people are experiencing CTDs and stuff on it. The issues seem very minimal though - I think this is one of the best DX12 implementations we've seen yet.
Thats a great news guys. Im glad DX12 finally show some improvements. I still think Shadow of the Tomb Raider has the best DX12 implementation as today.
DX12 here and it's significantly faster for my setup, 1080p Ultra settings (or highest available), rock solid at 60fps, DX11 wasn't very stable with dips to high 30s.
