C'est la vie Boss ! ... Hope you can avoid legal action and they will respect the decision of taking the download link down

Why are they forcing the MS store in 2019? Did MS pay them? Laughable.

    Boycot something that's free? Elaborate...

Cinebench can take down the CB15 from their sites and forces thru legal actions sites like Guru3D and others to remove from their files and you will be forced to use CB20 thru Windows Store.

Anyway, it doesnot hurt open the Windows Store and download 300mb...

Also it's cheaper so they don't have to spend with servers bandwidth and with CDN

    I don't even have Windows Store on my W10 1803. :p

Also considering the popularity Guru3D gave Cinebench benchmarks in opinion all these years, they could have been nicer about it tho.

But yeah, these news/move comes at not surprise since it was a WStore release so obviously some deals must have been made with MS.

Unfortunately irrelevant, but I assume that Microsoft is a more appetizing partner than some PC enthusiast websites. Ah well, it's their software and their call to make, that's all there is to it.

And I thought the PC games scene had it bad with exclusivity drama. Lol MS store. There's already downloads on reputable sites for a portable version not reliant on the Store so it's a bigger fail in my eyes. I'm holding on to a copy for safe keeping :p Nadella can go cry in a corner.

How on earth did you manage to rip out the store from 1803?! :D I'm aware of special versions of 1607 and 1809 but I didn't know you could remove it from Pro.

Honestly I can't say if it's completely removed or disable since my OS is heavily edited either via GroupPolicy, reg, commands, services and Shut O&O etc and I don't remember if I removed/disabled it via group policies or reg edits or maybe a tool like shut O&O.

Funny story, a year or so ago, I was so bored the for a few days, I edited or went through EVERY Group Policy in W10Pro. I mean every, single, one, related to performance/security. Some irrelevant ones, I skipped after a quick look of course. :p

Btw here's a topic on it on MS technet forums in case anyone is interested. https://social.technet.microsoft.co...de21/uninstall-or-disable-the-microsoft-store

By no longer using it anymore maybe?

It's really sad that techsites are getting legal threats. It say's a lot about the company (Maxon) behind it.
Maxon should be thankfull sites like guru3d are essentially freely spreading their advertisement software, legal threats is a weird way to say thank you.

CB is nothing more than a synthetic test and therefore is useless beyond benchmarking. If it weren't already popular, they couldn't afford to pull something like this.

All that being said, I never really cared much for CB test results. Theoretical performance means nothing to me if it doesn't represent what my actual experience will be.

I don't even have that crappy store. Good job maxon, you're cutting down your own program's downloads... rather stupid for a program that lives off people downloading it.
