As we reported first yesterday, a Battlefield V Patch would be pending, offering NVIDIA DLSS Support for GeForce RTX graphics cards. EA and DICE just issued the patch and that will enable DLSS, and so...

Do you guys know if it supports 3440x1440? I was always curious if DLSS is limited to 4k.

Any chance on a review/analysis? I know it's fresh and we're generally subject to a few glitches and hiccups, but as far as I can remember this is the first real implementation of DLSS (the Final Fantasy benchmark isn't quite what one can call "real", glitches aside)

    Edit:
Welp, the benchmarks got uploaded just a few minutes after I asked, which kind of makes sense, everybody would ask for this...
The tech is pretty interesting, but I already have Myopia, so I see blurred stuff whenever I don't have my glasses on...

Is it like, something you have to stop and look for, or something easy to notice? If I understood the DLSS part, it should improve over time, shouldn't it? Well, as far as it doesn't introduce weird artifacts I guess it can be fun to have around, or pretty helpful in some cases

The article posted shows 54 FPS at 1440p with RTX+DLSS.

Actually, it is 69 FPS at Quad HD, after a reboot I tried again and it performed better. Charts have been updated.

Thanks for updating so quickly, have you seen any weird artifacts or blinking like seen in FFXV?

Not really, but I really need more time to check things out. I do not like making rushed comments.

100% true what a mess lol.
DLSS is now the big brother of FXAA, i still prefer TAA seriously u lose to much IQ and detail with DLSS.

DLSS basicly mean Downgraded Low Super Sampling.

    @Hilbert Hagedoorn

Will you show DLSS with RTX off so we can see the performance benefit of DLSS alone?

I installed 418.91 and then downloaded the patch. Now, with 2080 XC Gaming at 1440p...I am seeing 70-95 fps depending upon the scene. The busier the scene, I will see 70-75...even had a few scenes where fps hit 100, but not many of them. Not seeing too much blurriness.

@Hilbert Hagedoorn So how is the graphics quality with DLSS on versus off? Curious if this "patch" impacted DLSS picture quality.

DLSS = Upscale for the noobs who want to see fake 3840x2160 numbers in the settings....

This is what I don't get. People pay premium for 4K monitors, supposedly because they want picture clarity, but then they enable DLSS which is upscaling and blurring the image. Why even have 4K display if you are gonna play upscaled games on it.

You forgot to mention one thing. Neither FXAA or TAA boost performance.
