Those Apex players better hope Anthem has enough whales to sustain Andrew Wilson or else he'll come for them lol.
holy crap, i love those guys, so hyped for the video (more than for the game actually ) Oats Studios are a gem of recent years :3
The demo ran so terrible on mine oced 980TI, with no reason, game looks pretty average tbh. I think that the recent launch of Apex, could really hurt Anthem, which already has bad reputation or lack of interest.
i find myself wondering about the Anthem\Apex issue.. and i guess my opinion on it is probably a minority.. i actually think its intended that the games are so close at their release. if EA see's shares from both products, one is based on a free to play \ micro-transactions model and it already passed some barriers on people accessing Origin daily. the other game, is a co-op vs AI - fully priced. two different things. financially EA is in there with Respawn with everything around Apex. i believe its exactly what they wanted. but that's just me
Looks like they pushed the release by a day for Origin Access Premier members. It said 14th 12:30 PM CET before and now it's 15th 4:00 PM CET. EDIT: Nvm seems to be an error by the origin client.
i predict tepid for this game and in this climate tepid does not do it. see if EA guts them asap after anthem or allows them one last chance to make the single player game maybe kotr since disney wants star wars games, only drama left in this. by all accounts anthem is biowares last chance internally the company believes that.
^ Even worse. I expect it to be available in standard Origin vault via Origin Access for 3.99/month pretty soon.
if enough people buy the game at 60 a unit, then enough people buy 20 dollar skins and 50 javelins. And enough players play long enough which next to other similar games i got to suspect anthem falls flat out the gate. Andromeda fell flat and after a few updates EA and bioware dropped that game like a red headed step child, dlc cancelled, any fixing of the animations done, bug fixing done. Sea of thieves and no mans sky took another route where the games launched in a awful state but got publisher support and well got fixed in NMS case and sea of thieves is better and we happy few got better with MS funding the game to be finished rather than a extended demo it launched as. Which way will EA go if anthem underpreforms? history says they will bail, the feeling at bioware internally is that anthem was their absolute last chance to get a game right and think bioware would choose to make that a destiny clone? vs kotr which bioware wanted to make but EA shut them down? and wonder why they so tense at bioware they had to take a shot in the dark on new ip vs go to the well to make a game fans wanted them to make for decades. golf clap EA well played sirs you are truely evil.
