How large is the patch? Just got the beta downloaded yesterday overnight. F'ck I might not have time to even play the beta...
No idea, but alt + tab does not crash game now when running in DX12. Played two hours without any crash.
Polling rate(500hz) and there is no stuttering. I think this game(The BETA of the game at least) is really sensitive with RAM O/C giving you CTDs.
the patch notes mainly talk about server disconnects. I have just found something interesting. I always have Black Desert Online (BDO) running AFK in the tray. Playing the beta in DX12 while running BDO in tray makes my DX12 performance terrible. In DX11 everything is fine, just like in any other game, but DX12 runs like a pig, 10fps. Closing down BDO completely and then running the beta in DX12, smooth as silk. So I'll either have to result to closing down BDO (which I don't want to do because AFK processing) or play The Division 2 in DX11. Hmmm.
Cant even start the game with dx12 enabled, its just starting in window mode, you hear sound and everything is black screen, upon pressing the mouse button or alt+tab for fullscreen, game CTD. Didnt try after the patch but will...still pretty weird.
The maintenance today completely fixed disconnects for me. Seems fine so far and tried the end game classes as well. However, I couldn't really figure out if there is anything more to it than just that extra weapon and different grenade types, if so it's quite disappointing really. Also, the available gadgets are trash, I found only the healing drone to be of any use. I'm going to try DZ tomorrow, hope it's fun.
Its the same in the divison 1, you need to alt+tab as soon as you see the window or it will crash , otherwise it will then start normally.
Yes, i figured that much but i stil dont see anything, its black and i only hear sound. But nice to know this bug issnt fixed since the dx12 patch for Division 1 came out, lol.
Played for a good moment and the patch has helped with two things: ¤ DX12 performance is greatly improved ¤ No Delta errors I'm still missing some audio here and there but the weirdest thing is that the enemy gun sounds seem muffled somehow, same with speech. Changing Audio Mix doesn't help at all. Can't remember if The Division 1 was like that too.
Oh there's definitely bugs but the game is just over a month from release and the build we're playing is probably a couple of weeks old anyway. That being said, there's things to work on but I'm having a blast. Thing to remember, we'll see some bugs fixed before release, probably have an optimisation pass and new game ready drivers for this. Along with a day 1 patch and continuous updates. It's not perfect, but compared to many game releases in the recent years, far from terrible. I have my week off for the release, can't wait.
Annoying - Even if I disable Corsair iCue in the game, my keyboard RGB still goes dark every time I start the game.
Almost to level 7. I'm sold. Shut up and take my money. Ubi has me. Few games do this for me these days, nice to have one. Loving this beta as much as the original.
disable the sdk in the icue program its self so the lights don't go out when you play (re-enable when you stop playing)
