It's an Asus Zenbook Pro (2018)

It has no moving parts that I'm aware of since it has an SSD. You can hear this only if the room is quiet. It never seems to stop. Laptop runs fine otherwise. Thoughts?

Well, it has at least one moving part, that will be the cooling fan.
That sound could be a dusty fan or a botched fan bearing.
To test easily this assumption, just use some benchmark software to ramp up the fan.

It could be the moving head in your dying hard drive.

Cheap easy way to check before sending this laptop for warranty?

    It's a solid state drive...

If there's no HDD in there, then probably the fan

That's what I said. Use SpeedFan or Prime95 to push the CPU and fan speed up and it changes the pitch/volume is clear as day that it's the cooling fan.

Okay I'll give that a try. If it is the fan (and sounds like it likely is) is this a simple fix that I can do or am I better off just using the warranty? I'd hate to send the laptop in. Thanks!
