Agreed. RE7's demo was very short, but, you could play it as much as you wanted. While I'm excited for this demo, I'm a bit bummed it's so limited in so many ways.
played the demo , very cool , although the game at 4k highest graphics settings would eat up 10gb of vram leaving less than 500mb in my 2080ti giant 11gb of vram
Well thats why RVII have 16gb. Btw RE engine is vram heavy. RE7 was too. I remember this HH review saying 4gb vram is a minimim and even 6gb is cutting close. https://www.guru3d.com/articles-pag...-graphics-performance-benchmark-review,9.html
It said i only had 3.93gb of gfx memory Enjoyed it though, odd stutter, but overall, ran great. EDIT: The gfx mem, i wonder if its because i forgot to turn off 4x supersampling, in the radeon settings.
12.7GB VRAM usage 1440P/max settings. Finished the demo, DX12 stutters a little(Nothing major though). DX11 is silky smooth(RTX2080 8GB). Textures(And the graphics overall) didn't impress me, so i guess it's just marketing for the new VII. TAA+FXAA and the game is blurry af. SMAA looks a lot better, although maybe the best solution is TAA+FXAA + Reshade for sharpness.
I don't think that the stutters are due to high VRAM usage reported by the game because DX11 is flawless. Maybe DX12 isn't perfect..Yet..Did you test both APIs with your Ti ?
I told you 6gb vram is not enough this days, 2060 should've had more. More and more games proves that.
I think that ''total available graphics memory'' matters. NVCP reports 16354MB in my case(8GB VRAM + 16GB RAM). Maybe that's why the game doesn't stutter. Similar situation was the Shadow of the Tomb Raider(The game ran flawless with 16GB RAM + 4GB VRAM cards, but if you had 8GB RAM you couldn't enable Ultra textures, the stutter was massive). And Dying Light had similar behavior.
If you dont have enough vram game compensate by using more system ram. Still, stuttering can occur even in that case.
