Hi Guys, my rx480 is the Asus dual with the 4G vram, I have a Artic accelero 4 on it, I tried the Nitro+ Bios but the clocks were to high and the card was crashing, now I have the Powercolor one and its works well on 1350 but thats it.

The original Bios was very limited crashing over 1320 and the vram was geting errors over 7000.

I dont know how get to 1400 and over 8000 vram (more and I get errors on HWhardware).

I have an Asus Strix 480 and it tops out about the same. At the very least you would have to edit the bios to give it more voltage and a higher power limit. That is if it's not a hardware limit. In that case you would need to hardmod it. To be honest, i'd just be happy with 1350mhz clock.

Did try the Rx580 Nitro+ Bios and Manage 1450 Mhz but on some games was not stable and was using 1.2v If I had a way to push it more like to 1.3v I think it will do a bit more. But did whant to get more on the Vram just dont know how, I think the voltage does not efect the Vram only the powerdelivery.

Well, thing about exchanging those vBIOSes on random is that each have support for specific memory and that leads to very different memory timing straps. (VRMs differ too. Same goes for Power Limits.)
Your performance may actually fluctuate wildly from vBIOS to vBIOS at same GPU clock just because some of them have pretty bad settings for memory.

Easiest way for you to proceed is going to Crypto-Miner forums and finding modified vBIOS for your specific card with same memory model. They usually add voltage offset as they are downvolting. But that's OK for you because "SRBPolaris V3.5 by d0kt0r" looks for presence of that voltage offset and can set it in 25mV steps.

Hey guys i manage to get the vram to 2100 with 1150v, run ark for 1 hour and it was all ok.

For a crap rx480 after I got the 580 bios a memory tweak its a fast card. OFC this cooler can take the heat, even with it it can get to 70c.

Hi, can anyone test out Ark with crossfire on the new drivers, I did test it out in the past with dual HD 7870 and it worked but was full of glitches, is it working now or still the same problem?

Looking to get another rx 480 or 580

What is your wattman profile for your card?

I only change the last P state to 1400 1.2v and 50% power, vram set to 2100 1.150v. I have a big cooler on it and the Nitro+ Bios it will take our card to 185w limit

We are only a couple of weeks from CES. I would seriously hold off. AMD might very well be launching its new 7nm cards. If the price rumors are even close, you would be much better off selling your existing card and upgrading. Single gpu is still the best way to go.

Those voltages are bit on high side. I did not use 1.2V even when running 1500MHz OC.
Now, I am running in power efficiency mode and @1400MHz core I use 1125mV which results in reported 1100mV under load.
For memory I do have 2250MHz and 950mV.

I think that with 1.2V, you must be hitting Power limits wall which decreases performance. In Warframe I was hitting 225W while playing at 1450MHz and automatic Voltages which were 1175~1182mV under load.
Now with fixed 1125(1100)mV Power draw is around 140~180W and fps is reaching 235fps which is where I limit it.

I am at 1150mv with a 1425mhz stock. Didnt even try pushing it. I heard it can go up to 1480mhz but i dont know what voltages.

Well ... when i try to do 1500Mhz with max voltage it's not accepted and just doing like i have default clocks set, which is around 1340Mhz.
Does it mean that i hit power limit?

Possibly, there is value in vBIOS stating max Clock speed. (Usually 2000MHz, but one never knows.).

Since you have Sapphire card, they tend to use dual vBIOS switch. 1340MHz is rather low. That's exactly value I have in "power efficient" vBIOS. In 2nd vBIOS slot which I use as base for my modifications is one which has 1411MHz as default.

If you are using power efficient vBIOS then Power limits are rather low.

Thanks for suggestion, forgot that this card was primarily used for mining and it had set power efficient bios.

My rx 480 with stock bios with 1320 MHz was at its limit. It's a crap silicon that this one has.

So i just hit 1500mhz on my rx580. Passed multiple runs of superposition/firestrike and shadow of the tomb raider benchmark. Staying below 200w. Didnt see one artifact.
Fox told me to be careful with voltages but i feel if go for 1.275v (max) i can push even more.

That's a great result! I think at that clockspeed it performs faster than a Fury, what are your graphics scores in firestrike and/or timespy?

These ware the first runs. It should be atleast Fury stock performance?
