Release date 26.2.2019 They finally got their acts together and this thing looks really good! What it took them only 5-10 really games later..better late then never
Just hope there's VR Support as that's pretty much a deal breaker for me, Dirt Rally is my favourite VR racer atm Project cars is my 2nd but Dirty Rally in VR with my Thrustmaster T300 is absolutely mindblowing, the first time I tried it in VR with my wheel I literally got that crap my pants feeling, it's scary but great.
I'm not holding my breath. Codemasters have burned me more times than I can remember. The last straw for me was the shady and low effort state DiRT 4 was released in.
As a fan of Codemasters since the original Colin McCrae game I'm looking forward to this, but I'll have to see the reviews first.
Yeap, VR support of no buy, love Dirt rally in VR, and once played in VR there is no going back, same with ED, ETS2, ATS, VR has ruined this for me in a 2d screen now, i can never go back. lol
The one game I can't play on my Oculus is Dirt Rally. I spend a lot of time playing sims in VR but Dirt, I just couldn't, it made me sick in the stomach. Brilliant game btw. Will be getting this too, maybe I'll get on with it in VR.
Been itching for a new Dirt game (latest I have is Dirt 3 which was meh to me). Eyed Dirt Rally and Dirt 4 during Steam winter sales as they were cheap but then saw this and guess I'll go for this one instead.
Dirt Rally is not a Dirt game ;-) Or you could say Dirt Rally is a Dirt game in the same way Forza Horizon is a Forza game...
Yeah I got my VR legs back in DK1 days, takes a lot to make me feel sick in VR now but Dirty Rally in VR yeah it scares the crap out of me to the point i'm nervous to put my foot down, it's like sensory overload, I can play Assetto Corsa and Project cars all day in VR but Dirt Rally has that fly by the seat of your pants feeling that is just crazy fun, great game.
Dirt Rally is probably the best showcase for VR on the market at present (if you don't get motion sickness). It looks fantastic, the immersion and attention to detail are absolutely unsurpassed to the point where I often forget that I am in VR. I've already pre-ordered 2.0 despite the fact there has been no confirmation of VR (I suspect it will be added later as it was in the first one).
