Perfs are good but the price is too high. No reason to sell my 1070 other than i could probably sell it near as much as i paid for it 1 year and a half ago which is kind of sad to be honest. AMD must release something good soon to put pressure on nVidia. I bought a Ryzen 7 1800x in 2017 for 440$ CAD. So i bought a high end consumer CPU for pretty much the price of this entry level GPU. Yeah i know it performs as well as the 1070 but it's still the cheapest 20xx series GPU you can buy so entry level.

Gonna keep my 1070 for a while even if it's not able to achieve 144fps at 2k most of the time without sacrificing image quality. At least nVidia woke up and will now support Freesync.

I don't understand Nvidia on this Gen.
Why not wait for RTX to mature, add extra cuda cores maybe just support DLSS since it actually improves performance and show big performance uplift compared to Pascal.
the process refinement and the architecture improvements are enough

Performance is actually where it should be but $350 isn't really midrange. People with a 1070 from almost 3 years ago (that initially cost $50 more at $399) have little reason to upgrade.

It's still much better price/performance than the rest of the RTX line and makes the 2070 stick out even more as a bad joke.

People keep mentioning the $350 price but no one is going to sell it for msrp.

If the 1160 offers the same performance for a $75 price decrease an a lack of RT cores, I think that would make for a pretty solid mid-range GPU.

I'd buy the 2060 rather than the 1070ti - it's newer tech for longer & better driver support, plus it has the ray tracing & DLSS capabilities, it's also faster than the GTX 1070ti by quite a margin when running DX12, also Vulkan runs exceptionally well on Turing cards (RTX cards). The difference in amount of VRAM is not that important, because this card is aimed at 1080p and maybe 1440p, and so 6GB is enough VRAM for these resolutions, and the GTX 1070ti only has an additional 2GB VRAM so it's not that different anyway.

I'm not gonna buy either though, because I already have a GTX 1070, I'll probably be buying a 7nm NVidia GPU in 2020!

This launch of this RTX 2060 is effectively making the GTX 1070ti & GTX 1080 redundant unless they lower the price of GTX 1070ti & GTX 1080.

Alright, rtx 2060 is equal to rx 590 for amd fanboys. I was expecting nothing else. And Vega is 50% faster. I won't discuss the subject any further. Give likes and bash Nvidia offerings for life.

Good job Nvidia. First RTX card that will actually sell. GTX 1080 level card for 350 bucks. Not bad.

No it wont, thats the thing.

Something custom like Aorus, strix 2060's will probably be close to 400$.

Nvidia now has 3 cards in the same perf/price range. Unless they suddenly cleared out most 1070/ti inventory.

Way too expensive, **60 should be around 200 euro's, u can get a vega 56 for 330 now and then, and when undervolted this card can't beat it, u can CF a vega, u can't sli this nor *70, nvidia is just become a very greedy firm and doesn't deserve any kind of support let alone defending.

The pre-sale's price of the RTX 2060 is more or less the price of a RX 590 and for the price you have better than Vega... i agree with you on the price (despite i would like it more in the 50 euro range :) ) but the price is very fine for this kind of GPU, and it will go lower after a few month as always.
Then i agree you can OC Vega but the RTX can OC too: so it doesn't change anything (Also Vega is very very ungry even undervolted).
Then the CF SLI point: having two GPU card is useless for 99% of the use now as with DX12 there is more bad than good points (AMD and Nvidia too).
