Games with MTX... It is like : "Be very careful what you invite." And then in 95% I'll put game into ignore list for pay-2-win mechanic of sorts.
I do not mind smaller studio having cosmetic MTX, that's fine with me.

But long time ago, there was this game which had item upgrade system in which each upgrade could burn your item down upon going from +3 to +4 and +5(max). And consumable MTX which prevents it. Chance for successful upgrade was like 40%, So I guessed I can have full upgrade of gear for $30. I guessed wrong. It failed to upgrade weapon to +5 whole 30 times in row.

It was great game, I had fun. That's why I considered it as way of support since they had no visual MTX. And I wanted to get my gear from +4 which I risked via standard upgrades to +5 in process. Well spent $30. It could have been more expensive lesson.

    pay-2-win/gambling? Never again.

  5. It's bad enough how expensive optics are in real life....

It's bad enough that there's an emote where your specialist eats a banana, description says something like "can be used on all specialists", turns out Firebreak + Seraph can't use it due to their masks.

    $4 please.

I do not know about that. I have hunting optics 1.25~4.5X26E with cross having 12 levels of light intensity and dioptric correction.
I have it like 6 years and did cost ~$130.

I know a lot of people who buy any kind of sight in airsoft shops, those are usually lower quality and much more expensive.
Yes, there are big ass optics, but optics for hunting distances or regular rifle shooting conflict distances are dirt cheap.

One or two day after getting it and the "wow i love it" "it's so beautifull" a friend's son doesn't play because it is boring...

It's an expensive 84 Euro gift to have a boring multi player and an few hour single player mode...

I totaly agree, it's for that i was using a russian solid and simple optic and was very happy with it.

  12. It does depend greatly on what you are getting. Good scopes can absolutely be had for good price......but other optics are dang expensive. The last three guns i have purchased have optics that cost half or better what the gun cost. Vortex razor (red dot), vortex venom (red dot), and eotech g33 (holographic). All good optics, but all quite pricey. Like 300 bucks for the cheapest one. We ain't talking airsoft...

It is a black-market. Did you expect regular prices?! :D

Anyway, micro-transactions are like a cancer to PC gaming.
COD BO 4 does not even have a single-player campaign for full AAA price. Faq that $hit.

I refuse to buy half-a$$ games at full price (or in fact at any price), if they are no good and full of micro-transactions with items being sold at ridicules prices.

On the other hand, I heard that CS-GO knifes can go for like $300. :D

There you listed exactly what you get. You listed brands, not type or performance. Even quick release (3 simple pieces of metal + 2 screws.) for that red dot from Vortex costs about same as good quality optics with all needed features. (Like one I wrote about.)

All Collimators work same way or they are not that. Therefore even $50 ones do the job, they just come with ugly hex hole screws for adjustment which may move as you shoot.
$70 start to have clicker screws which are exactly same in functionality as ones you listed. They are more differ in shape and size. Quality of glass is practically non-perceivable in practical situation. $100 is plenty.

Is it reasonable to spend more? Sure, for some special functionality like Olympus EE-1 has. (It is protected till you use it, that includes dust protection.) But you do not see that being made for weapons.
If you check what you can have for $100, $200, $300 or $500 in holo sights, improvements are generally not worth it. Big brands like SIG are around $200 they do not make bad products and you already pay for brand.

With regular optics, you usually pay for bigger lenses, higher magnification, air tightness/particular gas inside, ... With collimators, there are no component improvements which would justify such price bumps.

Lol and despite everything, it's still not enough for their insatiable investors. Overwatch seems to have plateaued (annual overwatch releases soon? lol), Destiny's a dud, and BO4 is probably not doing well on pc going by their $30 pack. Twitch engagement is also drastically lower for bo4 and I wouldn't be surprised if the high numbers from the first month were sponsored streams.

And not to forget how they shat all over Warcraft and Diablo. The day the Activision Blizzard merge happened was a very, very sad day for me. It all went downhill from there quality wise and it's all about the men in suits and their insatiable greed (which is more evident now than ever).
