Let's review the top SKU Zotac GeForce RTX 2080 Ti has got to offer, in specific the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2080 Ti AMP Extreme edition. This product has been fitted with a massive cooler, not just... Review: ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2080 Ti AMP Extreme
another great review done with great detail. to pick up on a point that HH made, and to extrapolate that a bit... it's clear that if you want a 2080ti, the best bet is to get the FE, slap a waterblock on it, and you'll be better off than the board partners at the same price, without giving up 3 slots. certainly anyone wanting an ITX build should consider that fact.
Great review. Terrible graphics card. I'm sorry, but £1400 for a RTX 2080TI. Its a joke. Battlefield V can only get 69 FPS??? I can get 80-100 fps in Ultra with my GTX 1070. Something wrong with this cards performance.
And it cools rather poor too, expected aloooot better , considering how good Amp extreme cooler was on 980ti and 1080ti. 75c is not acceptable. Looks like asus strix 3fan is the go to card with ~64c. https://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/asus_geforce_rtx_2080_ti_rog_strix_preview,8.html
I totally agree with you. Though, I think RTX cards will not last until next year when 7 nanometer cards come out.
Great review, you always test so many games ,that takes forever to do thanks for sharing, but the card is so bad you may as well put it in a contest at Christmas time, instead of throwing it in the garbage.I do not think anyone would want one.
Well my amp Extreme cooler doesnt go over 70c and fan at 60-65%. Just found it odd what happened here.. expected bellow or near 70c max to be honest.
But still, just checked 2080ti today for logo hunt. Namely msi trio and that keeps it around 65c as well in the same test. I guess they dropped the ball on this amp extreme.
You are comparing apple and oranges here! The 69fps you are comparing to your GTX 1070 is with Ray Tracing on Ultra!
Hi there I would have agree with you they're dropped ball on this AMP Extreme but I think they just overestimated what wattage or rather heat dissipation they needed Have look I have RTX 2080Ti in loop with other GPUs and RTX 2080Ti usually is running hotter by 5-7°C over GTX1080Ti in similar clocks or similar TDP that's under water, my other GPUs( GTX1080Ti and GTX1080 and third GTX1080 with following OC 2113MHz on Ti, 2164MHz on 1st GTX1080 and third GTX1080 with 2100MHz) are running in low 30's as max in Octane or IRAY rendering and RTX 2080Ti is running at 38-42°C with 2075-2088MHz OC Hope this helps Thanks, Jura
So, my ZOTAC RTX 2080 TI AMP EXTREME never had 35ºC in IDLE, it is always around 55ºC to 56ºC. Could you guys help me with that? Other than that, the card doesn't go over 75ºC while gaming or stressing. This with the card in stock clocks and stock fan curves. In the review, what fan curve did you guys use?
