Hi there Time to upgrade my video card. Not looking at upgrading monitor any time soon so was wondering which card will work best. Nvidia 1060(6gb) or 1070 ? I was thinking maybe the 1070 would be overkill for my Samsung 204b, though it is my preference. Appreciate your thoughts and opinions. Cheers
Why don't you upgrade that monitor first ? Get yourself Rx 580, or gtx 1060 (make sure you get a 6gb vram model). Should be over the roof for that resolution. I wouldn't go for any second-hand cards, as plenty are post-miner.

Those are ULTRA settings. I don't think eye candies is something OP would bother with, considering the fact he using 1600x1200 resolution. 3GB is enough for HD reso in my experience, unless we start messing up with mods or again... ULTRA settings.
BF 1 and V have issues with older hardware, but other games like TW:Warhammer 2 run better on a GTX780 than an RX570 4GB under DX11. It still has power for 1080p if you keep the vRAM usage under 3GB by enabling medium or high texture quality instead of ultra.
