It's smooth, not quite as fast as 416.94, but there's something wrong with this driver. BF1 Argonne Forest point B in the bunker room: the candles on the north wall gave the entire room a really odd plastic golden glow and turned my AL8 gold. Restarted the game, next map was Suez: a Chamond came up over the hill at D and the golden glint blinded me to the point I had to turn around. Went back to 416.94 and immediately noticed that while 417.35 is smooth, 416.94 is smoother and quite a bit faster. First time I've ever seen those lighting anomalies, since reverting I doubt I'll see them again. 417 also seemed blurrier where the .94's are sharp and clear.

Would DLSS work at 21:9 such as 3440x1440 or is it something that is only available at 16:9? if so would it work at 1440p or it's only available starting at 4k? Cheers :)

IIRC it would but only if resolution is 4k or higher so 5120×2160 is probably a starting point for 21:9

Alot of people see the difference they just prefer DLSS.

    It is preference after all.

And now you are questioning why they have 4k monitors and assuming crap.

If you wanna campaign against it then fine, But start a separate thread.

It would be magical to try DLSS in this game since I already play it at 4K.

Nice and all but ffxv has canceled all their dlc and other updates so why bother, better check with another and relevant game

I still prefeer native resolution over any kind of AA, but with the coming of rtx and dxr apparently the goal of pure native 4K is even far away.

That DLSS resizing method produces very similar results to the neural network scaler used in madVR for years.
And like any post-process AA it does very poorly of reconstructing sub-pixel details. Judging from the posted screenshots, I personaly wouldn't use it.

I just had a black screen along with a grey one playing R6 Siege for 2 hours with these. I don't know what nvidia is doing but with the 417.22 i had no issues!

The 416.94 drivers have higher brightness by default compared to this latest one. That does give the impression that visuals took a hit, but those are the same overall.
Speed is the same on my system, not faster or slower, but in general does feel smooth in gameplay.
So unless I start a game that demands newer drivers, I stay on 416.94 also.

Guess I'll just stick with vulkan 417.23 then, it is also from r416 branch. And it also has fixed vram reading, unlike early vulkan 417.17.

Has anyone's monitor colour profiles changed with these drivers?

Are u sure about that? seems a bit slower in some games like ghost recon wildlands and far cry 5 in these test https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/a5j1d1/driver_41735_faqdiscussion/ , however with a 1070ti, u have some benchs?

i think i will stop updating drivers for my card, at this point it seem useless to update. I don't see very relevant bug fixes latelly, probably update only if there is one of a buch of really important bugfixes,
