I remember how the first CoH game got a 10/10 at Eurogamer...hadn't seen that score in a while at the time...
I have both already but find myself playing the original all the time, albeit always with the various mods. Still if you don't have either grab COH2 for free as you can't lose can you....... Well maybe a few GBs of HD space
I felt the most genuine disgust when I tried playing as someone other than Wehrmacht or Soviet Army and found out you have to buy the "allied pack" or something.
Still my 'go to' game, some of the mods are awesome but the whole game is severely let down by the Save Game bug, so frustrating.
COH is one my all-time favorite strategic game, the first one I get free with the 8800gt graphic card as a bundle, actually, two of them because of 8000 series has a faulty design, and the seccond one here, always happy to grab free games from Steam but this was the best deal ever.
Was a bit disappointing to see the standard western stereotypes about Soviets in my favorite RTS, but does not impede my gameplay or fun one bit. The competitive scene in COH2 is amazing!
Anybody playing RTS should get this easily, if it's not over already. Very good game, CoH are some of the best games ever made for PC.
I know it's not, but literally cutting WW2 down to Germany and the Soviet Union unless you shell out even more money is ridiculous, there should've been at the very least the nations that took part in the classic battles such as market garden, eben emael, etc
