Yah ESO has a good day and night cycle, night is still a bit too light imo (but that's a personal thing). Dragon's Dogma got night 100% right, if you are in the woods at night without a lamp, you're buggered SWG also had a great night cycle (before CU), you'd be on Dath at night and you could hear the Rancors and Night Sisters but you would never see them until you were too close.
Booty graphics best graphics. Source is here https://twitter.com/Camelworks/status/1062794144211337216
There's at least 15 polygons on that booty. It's definitely modern and believable. That's not to mention the phenomenal amount of detail on 'dem pants textures, man. 'Da look good!
Maybe console people like it, but for PC gamers, this game seems to be complete garbage :-/ Just cash-grab "games as a service" shovelware. Video games are dead, man. This is just depressing.
Can't pay for fast travel with real money since you can't buy caps from Bethesda. I got spoiled in other games like Guild Wars 2 where you can pile up all the in game cash you want by buying gold from the developer. So now I have to play the FO76 quests, or fight or find items and stuff like that. Ok came back to say that makes me sound weak. Well I prefer the exploration atmosphere over gameplay in games. In other words the graphics. And I want fast travel to get there faster than running. And btw the Brit guy in the video just above this post is funny and apparently is telling the truth unfortunately for those who bought. Should watch the whole vid.
I gave this game a miss. It looks terrible and I don’t just mean the very dated visuals. What I’ve seen of it the game world looks boring and the quests dull. The removal of NPCs and addition of other players just completely ruins the atmosphere in my opinion. Going from Red Dead Redemption II on Xbox One X to THAT even on PC is like I’ve fallen through a time warp back to 2008! And Bethesda really need to update that creaky old engine otherwise I will be skipping the next Elder Scrolls game too.
Characters in Fallout 4 had more rounded asses. Just shows how, in a lot of ways, FO76 is several steps back from FO4.
Fallout 4 has mods. In particular this for sculpting your character: Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -CBBE- https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15 I have seen nothing so far to make me consider buying Fallout 76. Maybe after the 1st of the year when they have fixed a lot of the bugs. Speaking of which. Fallout 4 has this: Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch "A comprehensive bugfixing mod for Fallout 4. The goal of the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch (aka UFO4P) is to eventually fix every bug with Fallout 4 not officially resolved by the developers to the limits of the Creation Kit and community-developed tools, in one easy-to-install package." https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4598 Pretty sad that the modding community has to fix their bugs. Pretty sad also that now you have to wait until they actually fix their game.
SO.... Prey 2 wasn't "good enough" for Bethesda, and they canceled it. (even though everyone knows that wasn't the truth... but, lets stick with what they said) But, this was good enough to be released? The hell... Guess if you'll release this. You might as well go ahead and release that Prey 2 game that was so bad. Considering everyone that played it said it was beyond amazing... it's at least gotta be a tiny bit better then FO76...
i tried the prey demo did not grab me but i was never a fan of the og prey either. I am not buying 76 at all, not on steam for one, two) your a "rpg" company not a battle royale one, three forced CC and microtranactions. Mod support in some limited fashion "coming later." This game is not what RPG players sign up for in most cases. While i do enjoy quake or doom, i will play quake if feel like MP. I do not care about fortnight, or pubg, i not even gotten in arma mp, because people that want you to do that stuff live and breathe arma, some are ex military, and i do not want to feel obligated to play a game x times a week, though i am sure it would be a blast on occasion. But i have been invited to clans and rejected them.
The OG Prey is a different game. The new Prey happens to have the same name as another game, that's all. Other than the name, the games have nothing in common.
Yeah, the new PREY is a spiritual sequel to System Shock 2. The main thing it continues if the idea of being hunted by an invading alien race. Being the "prey"... Prey 2 was going to be a much different game then the 2006 Prey, and the new PREY. It was an open world action FPS with lite RPG elements. As a bounty hunter you explore the world, following the main story while hunting bounties for money for upgrades to your equipment. Everyone that played it said it was brilliant. And, basically finished. But, ZeniMax wanted to buy Human Head Studios, who wanted to remain independent. So, they kept turning down the offer. And ZeniMax tried to back the studio into a corner to force them to agree to the buyout. Cutting funding, making it difficult to hit milestones. But, HH stayed true to themselves... and eventually... ZeniMax canceled the game and their partnership with HH. It's just annoying that Bethesda treid saying Prey 2 didn't release because it didn't meet their "quality standards"... And then they dump out Fallout 76 in the roughest, buggiest state they've ever released a game. And, with it being the most shallow, empty, dull game they've ever released.
Damn, my rule of thumb of never touching a game at launch seems to have paid dividends again, curse you gaming industry for being such a cesspit of dubious practices. lol
