Not bad at all. You can probably sell your Fury X for 250€ so upgrade is real. :p

Local vendors here are a pos 90% of the time, so im glad i dont have to support them buying 500-600€ Vega56 lol

Its a nice deal for me, close to that price point in local stores I could buy a 580/590 or 1060, anything better was above 400€.

Ill try to sell it it for 150€ because the pump is almost dead and needs to to be repaired, i dont think ill be able to sell it but its worth the try.

Interesting, not doing anything for the Windows driver and this is a separate developed project for Linux but it's interesting even so to see these features active although as expected the performance is pretty variable though 3 - 5% isn't bad for what could essentially be free from just having this on but some titles don't benefit at all or see a performance decrease though tests so far seem to have it around or lower than 1% so that's good.

This doesn't really carry over into the Windows driver development though or even AMD's own Linux driver code but it proves this works at least to some degree.
    (From: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/9xamwn/phoronixcom_radv_vulkan_driver_to_enable_vega/ )

EDIT: And it's using Vulkan which not too many titles support natively yet although a few games having Linux ports also opted for using this API over OpenGL. :)
(Not too sure how it would affect using a wrapper such as via DXVK or the Proton effort from Valve though performance is already going to be lowered from the wrapping and additional overhead.)

as the dword implies, it would disable DPM (dynamic power management) of the SOC clock, which should mean the soc clock wont throttle , it could in theory assist in achieving memory stability on vega, since the memory clock is affected by the soc clock on vega

Just looking for interesting bits is all

    Always Dreaming & Searching :D
    ... and Tweaking....

We need to remember that many things are Hidden in Radeon Registry, thus not working properly.
Im sure some of the Reflection effects working, and some don't ;)
Also Multi is a no go still.... only campaign.

But im 95% sure Radeon Team will implement DXR in future drivers.

Ok now im going into BF V and make some screens for DXR ON/OFF

No, DXR is not wokring the same as for RTX GPUs (Images are more blurry, not "Mirror like")

    1st. DX11.x w/Reshade & 2nd. DX12 w/RTX Enabled screens:
Diferences are from API & not from the effect itself (DX11 vs DX12)

    Note:
When we play Multi We don't look close to the environment, but when in campaign - yes You can see the GFX more.

But we will keep Tweaking Moar :D

Slight correction OnnA, running a Custom Water loop for my rig for the above testing. Though the original Firestrike result was with Blower on the card still. It's an Air Vega64 with an Aquacomputer block on a ThreadRipper 1950X @~4GHz (summer tends for force 4GHz instead of 4.1GHz). Worst limitation at the moment is some crappy E-Die Dominator Platinum memory :(

However does show the legs of the Vega once power limit is not a problem. Not that it runs heavily over the 264W of the LC BIOS, it's roughly at that most of the time with a few edge cases that push it to 300W+. Benching though I've seen it hit 400W+ though :D

BTW I'm TrixX on OCUK and Overclock.net

    OK OP updated with:
Custom Water Loop + LC BIOS Flash is in use.

Bought MSI Vega 56 air cool for $380 and successfully redeemed the free game on AMD reward, nice deal. however I am facing few problems.
    1. How to stop the driver for creating Game profile automatically? it is annoying..

    2. Wattman setting reset after i restart. I turned off Windows fast boots and reinstalled driver with DDU already, no changes.

    3. 1030mv 1498Mhz in benchmark(not maximum OC but balance between power and performance), 950mv 870Mhz on HMB(higher than 880 will gives artifact). Look like i lost to silicon RNG. Superposition benchmark Extreme 4290, still not bad?

    4. idle 50degree C... bad?

    2.- Afterburner installed?
4.- Yep... 50C idle... its bad, unless your case and airflow are terrible.

    Please Read OP
Don't use AB (i mean don't use it for OC ;))
OverdriveN Tool + WattMan & ReLive is now your best friends :D

Also go there and search for compatiblile PP_Soft power Table and maby BIOS (1.35v HBM2 will give you OC to 1000MHz easy)
    -> https://www.overclock.net/forum/67-amd/1633446-preliminary-view-amd-vega-bios.html

    Side Note:
Also FreeSync Monitor is a must have -> sugestion Your next Purchase (Then You'll never look back)

thanks I didn't use AB and thanks for the OverdriveN. I made a startup.bat and done.

I am not touching Bios yet... may be few month later.

I just checked my card, no forgotten plastic and sticker on it, CPU temp is about 35 degree. Change GPU minimum fan RPM to 1000 reduce temp to 43 degree...

but most problems is solved by OverdriveN. thanks

OnnA, how about screens from DX12/DRX off and DX12/DRX on? If there is difference at all?

Nah, We need to wait for Proper DXR ATI Implementation.
It seems that BFV goes further in reflections/refractions than BF1
That's why i fell into it, i really saw similarities.
DXR will have more accurate & crisp reflect/refract than Older screen space methods.
