So, with 590 you pay for games, plus, factory overclock.

Everything is not needed at all. You can save yourself 50$ at least or even more by purchasing 580.

In my country 580 starts at 210$(4gb) and 230$(8gb). I cannot see budget users/gamers buying this at all. AMD is making a huge mistake here.

    Not everyone overclocks.

You're getting around 1070 performance, possibly similar efficiency and 3 AAA games at a lower price. In a few months, they'll drop it to 250 and lose the games. These will then settle into the mainstream until the 2060 or what ever is released at 300-350.

They will sell, like the 480 and the 580 before them.

    roughly 10% more perf?
    you kiddin hilbert?
    gaming performance compared to 580
shadow of the tomb rider: 19%
    monster hunter world: 23.5%
    COD:BO: 23.6%
    PUBG: 22%
    fortnite: 26%
    overwatch: 23%+
    you call this 10%?
now, pair this with freesync monitor which you can find for as low as 100$ and you get very good budget gaming setup.
I dont know why people whine.

I think for that price point is a real fine card.
The gtx1060 is quite bit more expensive and perform similar ( i bet they have advantages in specific games and not all ) and yes with free sync you made a point.

Now this new story of 1060 with gp104 inside is the other side of the medal

Goodbye my friend, was good to have you around here.
Should we expect 590's reviews ?

No, you don't. 1070 is where Vega 56 with 56 CU. This one only has 36 CU.
    RX 590 gives 4600 score in 3DMark. 1070 and Vega 56 gives around 6500.

RX 580 was slightly slower than 1060. RX 590 will be slightly faster than 1060.

Given that they are out there RX 580 on $200~$210, it doesn't seem like a great deal.

30%~40% more money, for 10%~15% more performance compared to RX 580... I guess AMD is learning something from Nvidia!

    Sounds about right.

I am interested in the power consumption with these.

When did that happen? RX 580 is down all the way to 199 euros.

Lemme guess... Crypto-mining fallout, 2nd hand spill-out and channel inventory leftover

What I'm curious about is if this is, for the price, worth an upgrade from AMD 480 to the 590 card. The games I'll admit I'm interested as well, since I know at some point I'll be buying them down the line.

For the hardware, not worth it.
If you want the games and can't find them discounted already, might be.

This is very disappointing for me, I'd expect it to come slightly more expensive, not like this.
I'll be looking for a 570/580 instead probably. Will decide after reviews.

As someone who’s planning to buy R.E.2 and D.M.C.5 games if I were in the market for a midrange GPU I think that’s would be the route I would take. The 2 games are probably $100+ value alone (launch pricing). I think that was a very smart bundle decision on their part. And this is just benchmarks from a 590 that boosts to 1545MHz, I’ve seen leaks of some 590s that boost 1600MHz+

Exactly, the point is that you are comparing the prices of old cards sitting on shelves with the list price of a new product at launch.

You can compare prices after a couple of months.
