1,199 dollars for Vega56? Quite cheap, considering it's an Apple accessory.

$1200 bux will work out to $100 a month for the viability of this product. the 7nm product will be out and way less expensive

I must say, I'm a bit surprised someone who visits Guru3D as often as you hasn't heard of eGPUs. They've been around for a while now (though to your credit, they've never really been priced well to gain any popularity, and they're not all that portable). To my recollection, they've been around since the ExpressCard 2.0 days.

yah I been trying unlearn alot things i know about PC tech, I think heard something about few years back? but didnt think much of it cause I Didnt see how that worked any usb connect at the time, or thunderbolt, which apple only thing? so filed it under "I can forget" I didnt even have smart phone let alone iPhone until like 6 months ago, I refused to get one, And i only got that cause my old cell phone out righted died and I Was told i need cell phone so I was give a hand me down 6s, I pretty much only use to play FFBE and Dragonball Legends, which why didnt want one in first place haha

CPU and GPU news and Windows fun pretty much alone reasons I come here daily

"blazingly fast AMD Radeon RX Vega 56"...compared to the usual Apple laptop solutions i suppose.

Anyway, it's not very expensive for the true Apple fanboys buying iphones X and R...

    LOL

The price is high because it is a MXM version of GPU

So, where's the point in buying it - for that amount of $ you can purchase a "blazing fast" gamer-edition notebook or an equivalent desktop PC packed into the movable small size case...

edit: on another note, since when US$1,199 equals 1359 Euro (I thought Euro is somewhat "pricier" than US$)...

I don't know if it is specifically the case here but typically us prices don't include sales tax while eur prices include vat.

Yes in the UK/EU we show the actual price not pre tax

OK, so the point still remains: for 1359 Euro, tax included, one can purchase a high grade, game-oriented desktop PC (packed in a nice, small size case), or a game oriented notebook...

This isn't made for gaming in mind, it's a different market.
