NVSlimmer - NVIDIA driver slimming utility

I just read his article, and he's hyping the situation far beyond anything rational. Ignore him.

Just tried it for the first time - repack mode and it's very handy.

 

Btw, are you aware that .Net Framework has its own classes to make zip-archives?

 

Could you also add NVSlimmer version number to config.txt so when running generated installer.exe it shows which version of NVS was used to generate it?

GFE is not working even if I left all 3 options for GFE checked, what am I missing?

 

this utility is great but need to "after applying all modification then automatically delete it's temporary folders"

 

Guru3D is still hosting version 0.3

 

So I use this software and selected the 3 core items, HD Audio, Geforce Experience and Shadowplay. When I reboot the PC and try to load Geforce Experience it just says Oops something went wrong and doesn't work. =\

 

Did you try some troubleshooting before posting ?

0.5 version worked fine for me on my laptop and desktop ... Great tool.

 

After using NVSlimmer for the first time, the driver installed without any problems (416.34)

 

Downloaded the 0.5 version from here and i cant unzip the folder it reads "Cannot complete the compression (zipped) folders extraction wizard"

The compression (zipped) folder is empty.

 

Still can't get GFE to work with this utility.

 

NVSlimmer ver. .5 files under dropbox is empty

 

If you are using 7zip, right click zip folder open archive as rar then just drag and copy contents into an empty folder.

Its stupid that its that way i guess, but whatever

Just used NVSlimmer_v0.5 to create a minimal installation and it worked great.

I was getting tired of unzipping the drivers and deleting all unnecessary files.
Keep up the good work...

chugalug, Lowprofile Somehow I created a RAR archive and uploaded it with .zip extension. It should be fixed now.
