See how inexpensive that Core i9 9900K looks all of the sudden? :p

This is not totally true.. I have 128GB DDR4 on my X99 (Gaming-5p) w/ an I7-6850K. To say previous Core generations couldnt take 128 gig is not correct.

    Well, with 8 DIMMs, eh?
The news is really for the consumer CPUs with only 4 banks.

    128 GB / 4 = 32 GB
32 GB sticks are not available for consumer market and will not be available soon, it's like 9900K will support 1TB of RAM and that means exactly nothing because you cannot add 1TB / 512 GB / 256 GB or 128 GB with 4 slots, pretty sure they won't add 8 RAM slots for mainstream.

I can't resist to reply the same but add "compared to a 2950x build" at the end
this is not a troll, I'm currently hesitating between the two chipsets (waiting for next weekend results of course) made two wishlists on my fav shop and in the end I have a 500$ difference in favor of Intel, processing power/cores sadly aren't free ^^
going to sleep until the lift of the NDA now lol I hope for my wallet the 9900k won't disappoint or I'll have to become a streamer/content creator to justify the AMD lol

Hmm, how nice they are that they are lifting some artificial limits for peasant CPUs when they are in deep troubles.
