Drivers are good for me so far. I no longer see the 2 nvlddmkm errors in the event viewer upon first boot up. There were no issues with anything anyway but it's nice to see that is corrected.

No, this doesn't work. After manual installation, no offcilal one pop after new CP launch.
    Strange...

In fact the Black Ops 4 profile exists in the driver on my computer (I see it in profile list when I untick "Show only programs installed on this computer" in NVCP). I can see it alos in NVIDIA Inspector profile list.
If I stick in NVCP the "Show only programs installed on this computer" (So to show only games installed on my computer), I don't see the black ops 4 profile.
It means NVCP doesn't detect the installation of the game on my computer.

Ah, this should be the first thing to test - unchecking that NVCP flag.
I was describing the situation when game was not listed with unchecked flag.

    1. I always install over the top and never had an issue unless I had a specific workaround for a dodgy profile (i.e. launch profile for Monster Hunter World)
    2. I enable G-SYNC for both and only disable If I have an old game with ridiculous framerates where I switch to ULMB.
    3. I've almost always had it enabled without issue so tbh, I've not switched it off for a comparison except as above.

I other thing, I've only recently re-enabled 165Hz since upgrading to a 2080ti, and I can assure it works fine with the PG279Q and Win 1809, do you have the ASUS driver installed? Windows probably killed it during the update.

    Regards,

I'm seeing this as well. Even on my GTX 970 testbed machine. Is anyone else seeing this? It could be related to their previous note regarding the rebalancing of GPU vs. CPU...or something with the 1809 OS build (which this system is running)...or perhaps we are suffering the placebo affect from new drivers. :p

Yes in fact this happens all the time. Especially if you have games installed on multiple drives. I've never had it detect all the games I have installed and have to add the exe manually for several games. It's one of the reason the 3D Settings takes so long to open for apps. It's rescanning and still doesn't find them all.

No changes on TimeSpy here, didn't try FS but I recon it'll be the same.
What do you mean by snappy on the desktop? What's different?

Nope, not just you. This is why I'm still on 399.24 for the time being. I'll give it another 5 driver releases and 3 cumulative 1809 updates before using a spare SSD to see if the move from 399.24 -> 420.xx and 1709 ->1809 is viable.

Hmm, maybe if he reinstalled (overwrite) the driver things could be different? I've seen it few times too.

In that video I see 416.xx tries to be more vram conservative, maybe this sooner/quicker limit lowers this performance.. I've seen some drivers optimizing shadows calculation and sometimes it was for the worse by older titles, rendering it lower in the distance or even popups. Same with LOD.
That said I personally didn't see any lower perf yet.

I played only Quake Champions and hard to tell, there was also a new patch that fixed few things, but so far i noticed occasional level streaming micro stutter, it would go from 90 to 70 and back to 90fps, usually only first 1-3min.
Also the game can crash if I'm in spectator mode in Spiral vs. match; I've switched between players and at one point it CTD with bug report.
