All mine are Well, apart from the last one if you're running 1809 which removes the history from RUN and recently used programs, PITA so I leave that enabled
Is this new program? Im using O&O ShutUP 10.... There are so many out there for this work. Do you personally suggest this? Cheers.
Relatively new, April 2017 is the first changelog entry This uses group policy to toggle privacy settings, you could run it and see if shutup10 has missed anything as the toggle switches on WPD will show what shutup10 has already disabled, and untouched 10 will show them all as blue/enabled I personally use this and nothing else
I dont even bother with any of this stuff anymore, to much of hassle, last time I was such it in the end it always broke something
yah i noticed and what I did change and turn off i did in gpedit, maybe I give it look it look if your endorsing it must be safe XD *edit* I checked it out I not sure how accurate it is seeing one the settings say MS has access to my microphone, Which i have that setting disable nothing has access to microphone says so in gpedit and in settings>privacy it also says cortona is allowed and gpedit has it disabled, i dont know I dont think this stuff maters to much anymore
Download it, i saw that it has auto-updates?? Im sold! (I hate going to the site every time and re-download if an update is out) Im gonna try it.
Maybe you missed a setting in GP for disabling access to the mic, GP is quite difficult to find everything manually, or the privacy setting you disabled in "Settings" does not actually work <<< bigger chance with MS
good chance of that, but like said no mic is attach to pc nor will there ever so let them try to "listen" to me , and voice chating I do I do on my iphone
nvm i was not reading the white text in privacy in 1803 apparently allowing access too your " *" only turns off app access I had to turn off device access, I never noticed that it wasn't there in 1607 build I just turn off all the stuff I thought I turned off XD
I compared settings with O&O Shutup10, I had like 80+% options disabled in Shutup10. I run WPD (1.2.940) and 95% are all on, so this is doing it differently. I noticed in readme these lines # Arguments # Note: Case sensitive. ### App arguments ### -nosplash Hide Splashscreen. -nowarnOS Hide OS compatibility warning. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK! -proxy Get rule updates via proxy. Example: -proxy "127.0.0.1:8080" ### Tab arguments ### -reg4gp Use registry for Group Policy instead of group policy objects. -nofw Bypass Firewall tab loading. -noappx Bypass Appx tab loading. These look like switches but I am not sure I like this one, but I don't know if this is default or you add that to a command line. -reg4gp Use registry for Group Policy instead of group policy objects. Maybe they do it in reg for home users that don't have GPE.
Home version has no editor, buy policy objects are there. I mean what is the point of reading policies` settings from registry if there are no actual policies in system?
Right, it is for home users. I didn't bother to Edit anything cause O&O shutup10 works fine for me, no need to have both settings enabled (GPE and settings). If I want to revert I can do it easier, well easier to remember that is
