Nvidia driver ready for Windows 10 1809?

Discussion in 'Videocards - NVIDIA GeForce Drivers Section' started by Deleted member 255716, Oct 3, 2018.

  1. Today I'll do a clean install of Windows 10 RS5, and I'm wondering when Nvidia will release the compatible driver for.

    Thanks

No problem with 411.70 so far.
Firestrike score is down a bit but surprisingly it hasn't shown in gameplay.
Watch Dogs 2 in 4K run was excellent.

Yeah, I will do clean re-install too. Upgrade went somehow suspicious and I got one software turned into crashing state. I'm going to install LTSC as I'm fed of MS bloatware.

We don't even know what WDDM 2.5 adds so we can't really say that WDDM 2.4 drivers aren't optimized for it.

That fire strike 200points difference come and goes driver to driver.. I get that too by GPU score sometimes.. older 399 was ok new 411.xx had this again, before that it was some 396 that had lower again..

I wouldn't worry about that, btw that's maybe 0.5fps difference at best.

What I worry about is Quake champions randomly crashing to desktop, happens with both 411 so far.. 39x.xx was ok.

Dude you are talking like you will install one driver and never change it. 411.70 works well. Just clean it with DDU once you need a new driver. Problem solved

    7. restarted into safe-mode

Did a clean install of this OS build (Win10 Pro) and 411.70 drivers, no issues so far.
I had my internet disconnected during the Windows installation phase until I manually installed 411 drivers, so that OS wouldn't download its own drivers and I won't have to use DDU for a clean install.

  11. Have you seen that my question wasn't useless?

yeah, i had to revert back to the previous BUILD of Windows 10 in order to install. so it's the WDDM 2.5 that caused this issue.

Can RTX be used without enabling development mode now? I thought public support for DXR was tied to WDDM 2.5.

I pushed the update on both my older rigs, Fermi and HD 5670(WDDM 1.3), haven't noticed any issues

i've had no problems with either 1070 or 1080ti with both Nvidia's and Intel's latest update.

the update from last month from Nvidia was way more problematic than Microsoft's.

the probability that something brakes again with new wddm is nearly by 100%.
driver with wddm 2.5 support should start by 413.xx

  18. I hope earlier :rolleyes::(
