I'm sorry but you have a core i9 and 1080ti sli don't you? I'm only on a 6600k and single gpu (currently missing).

Don't worry, it's pretty unlikely that I wouldn't get it today. Pretty pissed at Nvidia for releasing it before they were ready. I could have waited to sell my card.

 

I'm sure @tensai28 will give us his comments on the card if he's able to grab one, don't worry

 

Definitely, but it's not looking good. Chances are pretty high I wouldn't get it today. The lack of supply is pretty pathetic.

I don't understand much of it, but wouldn't it easily make more sense to buy 2x 1080 instead of a single 2080Ti? Same money... except of course they're going extra large with farms, where of course less used slots means more performance overall.

 

On my way to pick up a 2080ti trio. My friend managed to get me one.

 

Its always a balancing act between cheaper multiple cards vs cost, practicality to run, etc, but there is a point where it can be more profitable to do so. Its why there was huge demand for RX570, 580 and gtx1070 cards at the peak of eth mining several months ago.

 

Just got my hands on a 2080ti msi trio. Benchmarks and pictures incoming for those interested.

That's nothing special. A GTX 1080 Ti can do 50 Mh/s with EthLargementPill (which tightens up the memory timings to reduce GDDR5X latency).

 

Yeah you're also right about that. I completely forgot, that one 2080Ti uses as much energy as one 1080, so even from that side it'd be better for miners. I guess they all preordered

According to Amazon, mine is "Arriving today by 8PM", but I know it's not true. Some part of me believes it's real and that the delivery guy will make a surprise visit.

 

Thanks guys. Just got back and put the gpu in my system. Setting up drivers and I'll do some 4k benches later on. Here's some pics. Can't believe I am saying this but I love the RGB on it.
