Square Enix revealed the official PC system requirements for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. According to the specs, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i3-3220 with 8GB of RAM and a Nvidia GTX 660/... Shadow of the Tomb Raider Requirements
12 more days! My brother pre-ordered this as an early birthday present, so I am all set! I <3 the Tomb Raider reboots, they are fantastic games. I wonder how my rig will run with all the settings maxed out. Looked like a lot of advanced features. At least we will be getting HDR on the PC this time around. So pumped for this!
I bet a 2070/80 is not a recommended card for RayTracing because of the price of the cards, probably hurt sales if people saw that and think they needed an expensive graphics card to play the game! Although considering the hype currently going on for RT and the fact it will probably be one of the first games to support it is strange.
I expect the ray tracing stuff in these early games are just gonna be a tacked on gimick anyway. The game is mainly a console title. Would be stupid to recommend such expensive cards for the PC userbase.
Bare in mind RTX features will be released in a patch later on so caveats will be in the patch notes I guess.
Yes, but notice it says the 6gb version, rather than the 3gb version most other developers list... so this game is going to be even more vram demanding than rise of the tomb raider.
No one should be buying 3GB version if they are serious about gaming. I've been telling people to only buy 6GB version whenever topic about 1060 came up.
I absolutely agree... i made the mistake of buying the 2gb varient of the 680, and the 3gb 780 ti... never again am i getting a gpu that barely cuts it i regards to the amount of vram. Rise of the tomb raider will use 10gb vram at 4k, if you have it... if you dont (as i dont) it will occasionally stutter when it vram swaps.
1060 3GB is a lot faster than 1050ti 4GB and cost about the same. The gap in price is big on 3vs6 model
So if the game runs at 4K on XBox X, then there's no "recommended" option for that on PC. That is just... weird.
have you played on an xbox lately? it looks good but reaction time is to slow for me... PC with KB&M is so much faster....xbox needs Auto aim just to feel good
By personal experience i can say minimum requirements are for 1280x720 (a.k.a. 720p) and recommended are for 1920x1080 (a.k.a. 1080p). In the past i had hd7790 which is more powerful than hd7770 and on this card in tomb raider (2013) i had to drop resolution to 1280x720 to make it have playable framerate with more than medium settings. On consoles "4K" (hahahahahahha, that's a good joke) is marketing BS for dumb people and on technical side it is normal game upscaled to 4K with maybe some minor post effects added to hide problems which upscaling causes. In most cases games are upscaled from 900p or lower resolutions.
Not bad requirements I wish that Square Enix would be this specific with what GTX 1060 they mean with DQ11 because there is a huge difference in performance between the 3gb and the 6gb. Granted there is a difference between an action adventure game and a JRPG they should at least list that much.
