Price of 1.5 AAA titles per year is not that much really. If you buy 2 titles per year you are actually saving money already and get all the other games playable too including DLCs.

ME 3 was the "latest" AAA EA game I've wanted to play. I guess it's good for the Battlefield players but they probably get left out of the DLC train.

This is a bad precedent to set for future gaming... Hell, it's bad enough now-days that when you purchase a game you don't even have a physical copy anymore you're just "buying" a license to use the software. Vive port is doing this, & have not even logged into the account because you can get the same games on Steam for a cheap price, even more so if it's a sale. I see no point in this type of business model only to suck more money from the consumer & having nothing to show for your purchase. At least, for me, I don't own ANY EA games & probably never will.

That's starting cost to get people into platform. If there was text in signing up that service, that they are not going to increase price above inflation rate for next 5 years, then I would consider it quite fair.

I just don't understand this model from them... cost you 100 pounds a year, but for what? the two games a year they might bring out you want... then you can just buy them surely?

This would make way more sense for Steam to do where they do actually have a netflix kinda of catalogue of games. 121 games isnt a lot especially when you take into account many are old (so super cheap if you did want), games that no one would want to play anymore like titanfall 1 or games that are just plain boring or terrible. not to mention you don't get to actually keep the games which i guess for EA games most are pretty forgettable anyway XD

Um...isn't this how video games USED to be? You buy a game, you own it, and you can play it whenever you want without restrictions? Or am I missing something?

EA doesn't have anything worth playing so this is kind of pointless.

All the SHEEP will buy into it and give EA a big BULGE, in their POCKETS!! Guess the 15€ monthly sub is just an inflated figure (that some will no doubt pay) to make the 100€ yearly sub look more appealing and probably what EA has factored in as their target sub! If this takes off then what's stopping others doing the same, apart from the online MMO's, and going fully PAY 2 PLAY?

EA's business practices are outright criminal, but we all know it was coming for some time and it's something we're going to have to deal with now, before it goes mainstream...

Even if you never use it. Paying for it is cheaper than not doing it.

    Do the math. 3+1=8

I'm 100% sure that is just the cost to get in the door. If you want all the bells and whistles, it will cost extra. We see this everyday. Show em who is boss. Just don't pay for it.
