I would be perfectly content with Sikkmod... if it was just a visual upgrade. But, changes to weapons, sounds and enemies... meh.
You can tweak all options in Sikkmod. It's possible to have a vanilla gameplay experience with it as far as I can tell. Also I didn't notice any changes to sounds. Often Sikkmod downloads are prepacked with other mods. Default Sikkmod replaces no assets at all, just tweaks the renderer. For example if you install "perfected" Doom or similar it installs Sikkmod plus a crap ton of other tweaks and mods (I don't like it either). Rule of thumb: if it comes with an installer, it's not original Sikkmod (Perfected Doom is confusingly advertised as "easy installer for Sikkmod" when it installs a pile of other, including gameplay changing, stuff as well). Tl,dr: Sikkmod in itself is only a graphics mod. It does contain a few optional tweaks for gameplay but they're not major and off by default (such as Cyberdemon being damaged by other weapons than soul cube).
pron videos, what else? on topic every game deserves a replay. Currently I replay, Fallout 4, The incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Final Cut and Titan Quest Ragnarok
Some games are so bad that the first play through shouldn't of happened in the first place and the time wasted playing it the first time will never be regained.
I didn't talk about games you disliked, not touched or uninstalled. By the time you played a particular game and especially if you've finished it once, it should be eligible for a replay. Unless you have no taste as a gamer and only play to fight boredom.
The DisHonored series is one that I've put a huge amount of time into. I'm currently on Mission 8 of DisHonored 2, and this is probably my fourth or so time through the game. Realistically though, I've replayed almost every game I own. Some I've got through so many times it's insane. Like BLOOD, countless hours in that game. But, there are those titles I've played... and been like, "NOPE. Never again"
My list of games I always seem to come back to: - Baldur's Gate Trilogy (at least 10 times , modded) - Planescape: Torment (modded) - Skyrim (heavily modded of course) - New Vegas (also heavily modded) - Dark Souls 1 and 3 (3 without mods) - Freespace 2 (also with mods) Seems modding keeps me coming back
In my life, the games I've probably replayed the most are: Duke Nukem 3D (mostly for nostalgia). Played this game a lot as a kid ...even though I probably shouldn't have. Deus Ex - This was the first game I bought when I got my first gaming PC. It was such an amazing experience I just couldn't stop playing it. Gone back to it many times over the years. Crysis - For many years, every time I got an upgrade to my PC, this was the game i'd use as a benchmark first. But it was so much fun I ended up playing through most of the campaign every time. ONI - To this day, this still has my favorite and the most satisfying combat mehcanics I've ever experienced in a game. A few years ago, I replayed it again and enjoyed it so much, I spent two weeks recording and editing a trailer for it. link if you're interested. Witcher 3 - This game is, wthiout a doubt, my favorite game ever made and that's coming from someone who's 33 and has been gamiing most of their life. For me it is a culmination of everything i've ever wanted in a game. I'm on my 3rd play through at the moment and still loving every minute. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory - This is still the best stealth game out there at the moment and it holds up incredibly well. Thief 2 - My second favorite stealth game. I've played through it many times over the years and still enjoy the hell out of it
Alan Wake is probably my top replayed game, I just love it. I also love the Batman series, I am almost done with my second playthrough of Arkham Knight. I am on my 3rd playthrough of the DOOM reboot, game is just fun! Ive also played The Witcher 3 3 times as well, and cant wait for the next GTX cards just so I can run mods+downsampling at a higher frame rate for a 4th playthrough. I <3 that game.
My games: Gothic 1 - 20+ Gothic 2 - 10+ Witcher 1 - 10+ Morrowind - 5+ Witcher 2 - 6 Fallout 2 - 5 Gothic 3 - 3 Fallout 1 -3 Fallout tactics - 3 Disciples 2 - 2 Witcher 3 - 2 Starcraft - 2 Diablo 2 - xx Cant really say how many times it goes for Diablo 2 as you know you could farm there for eternity. The same for Starcraft, passing campaign and rest was skirmish plays. Gothic is my number one I guess, I dream about remastered version. And i added plus + to them as I really can't count exactly for my 15 years of gaming. Witcher 1 is the most nostalgic for me as it's originates from my culture circle and you will understand this game only if you will be born and live whole life in Slav country.
If I'm gonna replay a Half-Life game, it'll be the first one. HL2 is good, but, personally... it's not the flawless gem people want to make it to be. The first HL and Opposing Force are the high points in the series. And, for the HL2 specific series... Episode Two is the top mark.
You guys should try the Cinematic Mod for HL 2. You won't believe it's the same game anymore http://cinematicmod.com/
