I have to be the only computer gaming, comic reading (and I mean legit comic reading, every Wednesday I'm at the shop getting new books, not someone that buys one graphic novel at a Barnes and Noble after a Marvel movie) nerd that does not give one flying **** about Star Wars. I just don't care. Saw the original 3, had no reason to see anything else. I just don't get why the mythology for this particular IP is held so dear to many. Good vs. Evil. Wow. Haven't seen that one done before. CP30 and R2D2, why?
Can you answer why do you buy new books every Wednesday? You got entertained, you train your imagination, you even can admire some characters. I guess people who were a kids back in Star Wars debut keep the mythology dear. Also old films raised a bar of special effects. ... PS Also this mythology became infinite source (target) of jokes.
Oh. I can understand why people like it. I just don't personally find anything exceptional about it. The special effects were and still are extremely impressive for their time. But everything about it is very cliched for me.
You are not a kid, so... As a side note I always smirk when people talk 'comic reading'. In no way I am expert on comics, but all I have seen have no text to read, only closed captions under the pictures. PS I guess you don`t need "exceptional" content to create a fandom, "good enough" will do.
The lost... lost chapters. Luke hunting womp rats. Two hour movie, directed by Michael Bay, 3D filmed, 20$ per cinema ticket. Disney stock on the rise.
