"That sounds like a nice time" That interviewer at 7:28 is the personification of what is wrong with the whole gaming industry right now. @Topic So many of those original games are soooooo good. I spent many hours playing the Super Star Wars saga on SNES. They actually re-released Super Star Wars on PS4, that is a challenging platformer
Last day to get Battlefront 2 for a discounted price on Origin. Still wondering if it's worth it or not.
I actually bought it on XB1X purely for the arcade mode space battles, well worth it if you like that kind of thing. I can fly around blowing sh!t up in Yoda's Eta-2 Actis all day long
It's worth getting even to just check out the amazing graphics/sound. You can tell that they spent a LOT to make it as authentic as possible, however, the actual gameplay is very dumbed down arcade-ish and you will likely get roflstopmed in multiplayer by nerds like me who have all the starcards for everything maxed. Starfighter assault game-mode however is very, VERY good, once you play for some hours and start unlocking better cards (it won't take too long). Arcade is nice, but gets boring fast as the AI is shitty. Story mode is so-so, but it's something.
It's 20€ so not that much. I've played the trial and I agree that graphics/sound is excellent! I also liked the maps but like you say I'm getting my ass kicked most of the time (must be a piece of cake to kill newbs that have just bought the game )
@160hrs played for me ( which for me with a full time job is quite a lot ) I can wholeheartedly say yes! The game isn't perfect but its a whole heap of fun and getting better. Then again, I'm the resident SWBF fanboy here so take my opinion with your choice portion of salt. I'll just say that its nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be.
You might be a fanboy, but not THE fanboy... just checked and I actually have 388 hours /played according to Origin. Pretty much the only game-mode I've been playing in the last month was Hero Showdown, Extraction is nice too but it's all Vaguard, Nade, Vanguard, Vanguard in a nutshell.
I logged in to Guru3D and saw the Alert about this thread and suddenly remembered...the sale! It was supposed to be over now and it was. Sigh! But then I saw that Battlefront 2 is still on sale, so I grabbed it
Haven't tried Hero Showdown, I hardly even play HvV ever as I like larger scale modes but I love extraction, they really need to convert more maps for it though and fast.
Does anyone know of a fix for the f**king infuriatingly annoying audio cut out bug (that has been around since launch). Can't find anything online and I suspect there isn't a fix, but I thought I'd ask
Yeah there is no fix the issue has been complained about far and wide since the game launched and yet still it remains many players are now so used to it they even have fun counting down just when it will occur during specific points during a match as when it happens it hits every single player and doesn't return. That is EA games for you.
Every single frikking time I see this thread pop up to most recent I get excited because I keep thinking it says Battlefield 2 but then I squint and noooooooooooooo it's not and this is disappointing every time.
Nice vid, but why on earth are you using dx12 ? It's also odd that texture quality has become SIGNIFICANTLY worse with battlefront 2, compared to battlefront 1 :S Just took some screenshots on this new map, and compared it to similar maps in bf2, and my memory didn't fail me... BF1 BF2
Cool! Thanks for the heads up, the new map looks pretty sweet, gonna be trying this out later or during the weekend.
