I remember measuring it once and it was 7-9seconds, now its almost instant..

I have it connected to DP, samsung c24fg73, using default samsung Dp cable.

Can you do this for me, I want to know what version the nvtool updated it to.

Edit: Anyone with pascal mind doing this as well?

    Download this https://www.win-raid.com/file.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Ffiles.homepagemodules.de%2Fb602300%2Ff16t892p45571n2_KQZpkECT.rar&r=&content=RE%3A_AMD_and_Nvidia_GOP_update

Dump your bios with NVFLASH( command is " nvflash --save x.rom"

Then drag your bios to the GOPUpd.bat file.

It will list info about your GPU bios and list GOP version.
Check the version; latest is version 3000A for pascal.

Ah I missed it; at least for GM200, they didn't release a newer one than what's been out for a while.

At least for you, your old firmware was 6 updates behind.

Latest GOP is 3000A dated Aug 21 2017; there are 3 newer updates than what the NV update did.
    3008, 3009, 3000A

Interesting that they don't update to the very latest.

Ok, So at first this was released for Pascal and Maxwell to support DP 1.3/1.4 for modern monitors like the HDR ones coming out.
But then I read this article and it says min spec for new G-sync HDR monitors is 1050 series, So it seems Maxwell users won't really get wide product support. I was thinking of getting a new monitor, not sure about new G-sync +HDR as price probably very high, but still.

I updated my ROG STRIX GTX 1080 A8G and ever since I get a quick blank screen every now and again (not during a game yet though) and the display turns back on with the DP icon that my monitor shows when it turns on; almost like the monitor itself is turning on and off, but it isn't and it only cropped up after updating the UEFI BIOS. Anyone else experience something like this? I have a Samsung 27" QLED Gaming Monitor (LC27HG70QQNXZA) and am using the high quality DP cable that came with it. Definitely started after the update so I really don't think it is a monitor/cable issue.

    3000A is specific for Pascal.

Each GPU series has their own specific versions.

I just updated to 3000A and will report back if the issue has been resolved.

Thanks for the info and I will update the OP with it.

Most likely not a GOP issue.

What VBIOS version are you using?
