Pork shoulder slow cooked on the bone, one of my favourites. Last time I made it I used the Pitt Cue house rub, cooked it for around 6 hours. Pulled it off the bone, amazing. Made some mac 'n cheese, made it into about 1/2 inch thick burger patties, breaded it and fried it. You take a brioche bun, mac 'n cheese patty on the bottom, heaps of pulled pork on top of that, finish off with a few gherkins, brioche lid on. Brilliant. Pitt Cue house rub, have a big Kilner jar full of this stuff, it's genius https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2014/07/house-rub-from-pitt-cue-co-the-cookbook.html
hehe, no preservatives is all. Tried it last night with some tempura chicken with jasmine rice and it's great.
How the he'll do you guys post photos I've been a Member for years now and still can't post a single pic. I wanted to show you bbq ribs the wife made today on the grill.
What do you mean you can't, sure you're doing everything right? (Clicking the add image icon and pasting in the direct web address of the image).
First, how are you taking photos? With cell phone or digital camera? Second whatever you use you've got to upload them to your PC, generally by USB cable. Third, once the photos are on your PC you have to upload to a site like tinypic.com which is what I use. Fourth, once the pic has been uploaded online just copy the image address and paste it on the forums.
Woke up this morning with a massive appetite. 16" flour tortilla, 3 scrambled eggs, 5 strips of bacon, cheddar/queso cheese, seared the outside on the cast iron, and finally topped with my favorite salsa.
I used to eat once a day, and this one time I was R E A L hungry, and I had for breakfast: 30 hard boiled eggs, 10-12 sausages, ~1kg of cream cheese, 0.5kg of liver pate.. fries, large bowl of green salad, tomatoes... I think that's it. I did it in 2 sittings with 10 minutes in between, because I thought first one didn't do it for me. It was summer, 38 Celsius, I thought I was going to die. Managed to get myself to a girlfriend of mine. Crashed on her couch and slept for 12 hours straight. Woke up around midnight. First thing I noticed I was fine
Prime Rib, Rare... I can eat that till it comes out my ears....lol. Sushi, good Sushi if it's fresh too.
Urgh! Once again I'm awake way too early. I've got three options: Make another big ass breakfast burrito, make some Betty Krocker blueberry muffins with butter and a tall glass of cold milk, or just keep drinking some shots of bourbon until I pass out. I'm leaning toward the last option.
Man, I am such a douchbag!!!! I cooked on the grill for Memorial Day a standing rib roast, four corn on the cob (Mexican street corn) and as always a pack of hotdogs. In the garage was a-churning 6 quarts of homemade banana ice cream. Douchbag comes in as I really meant to get pictures. Told my wife that my belly would prove it, while she agreed, she convinced me that it could possible bring the whole Internet down.
