Hopefully this is fixable with a patch and doesn't delay the rtm any further.

Yeah ... this is just getting sad now. They removed homegroup and it seems they didn't fully test the fallout. After all, they did tell us to just use onedrive!

Could it because they removed/disabled HomeGroup, I remember reading that will be removed.
I don't use it and in fact, I have it all turned off here.

Never used homegroup, and the network always worked, you wonder how they can break something that many use and have no real alternative. Similar to the Gadgets in Windows 7, security flaw, don't fix, just disable.

Ok, so it worked ok in 17133, seems there testing is pretty bad then.

Edit: that link posted above is pretty informative, hopefully easy fix for MS.

When I had 17133 installed, only 1 computer was using this version, the other computers were using a combination of 16299 and 15063. After all being updated to 17134.1 this mess occurred.

Well hopefully we'll see what Microsoft is going to do about this in a few hours. (Stupid 15 hour time difference...I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to find out.) I'll check back here tomorrow.

Regarding the reported network issues, perhaps the SMB1.0 feature is finally disabled with this build?
Can't confirm it myself as I disabled it ages ago.

EDIT: good to see Homegroup has finally been removed from Win10 ;)

Depends on your timezone. It's almost 25 in 20 minutes.

Very interesting, since I'm in the same boat except typing in the name does NOT work.

Indeed, had this very issue on 17133.1, 17133.73 and now on 17134.1 and it is still giving me issues. I connected to one computer (kitchen Win7 machine) one time and it has never worked before or since then.

I tried turning the "Function" services to automatic and rebooting, but no luck so far.

I've gone through each and every one of my computer on the network and made sure SMB1.0 is installed, yet this Win 10 17134.1 computer is still the only one that has network issues.

Goodmorning guys. Well...this was disappointing. I guess we just have to keep waiting for the rtm. I'm not sure if I should just go ahead and install 17134 or stick to 17133.73 until rtm. If they are going for the April update naming, they only have a few days left.

Also I guess the title should be changed for now because RTM hasn't been confirmed yet. Could confuse some people.

Though XBOX is harder to break with software comparing to 1000s of different PC configurations, hopefully this means they are confident enough to rely on patches for 17134.1
