I decided to save all the Seeds from themselves instead

 

It just shows how much people blown things out of proportion.

There is absolutely zero reason to spend real money in the game. The silver bars are all over the place.

 

This comes to my mind:

Luckily is not as invasive as SW Battlefront et similia.

 

I merely mentioned the existence of the store which also is something that didn't exist a few years ago in SP games. I bet people still buy stuff there, those that co-op and those who just want the best guns asap without having to "farm" for money.

 

God damned whales ruin everything lol.

 

The endings though. Absolute garbage. Massive disappointment.

 

Hey when are the DLC chapters coming? They look positively wacky and fun.

 

Give it half a year at least before the first one is out, wouldn't expect the final DLC until 2019 at least

 

I really like this game, but boy do i wish you could control texture LOD distance !

 

Yeah LOD needs improvement, AF goes to waste when the next mipmap is lo-res readily. Basically.

Btw if you want a lot of shimmering artifacts force 16xAF in NVCPL xD

At first I wondered why AF made things worse but then realised the LOD distance / mipmaps are the problem, not filtering.

 

I actually experience that forcing 16x helps ever so slightly, but yeah... perhaps someone can figure out how to change the engine settings for texture lod distance... would be neat, and i would gladly do it, even if it means a performance hit !

Side note, playing through this, clearing points of interest and caves and such, it is little different from bethesda's skyrim and such. Which as far as reviews got was critical acclaim.

 

Still not through the game as i somehow dont have the urge to fight the other 'bosses' and watch another 99 cutscenes where i'm captured and carried away although i was in the middle of a crowded resistance base. -sigh-

Is that what developers need to do now to tell great stories? Forcing something on you that shouldnt even be possible? Making you feel like a hero but then weak AF during a cutscene?

Where has creativity gone? Why not just throwing masses of harder enemies at me so that being overwhelmed actually makes sense to the player? HalfLife1 told you the story via ingame scenes and that felt way better than FC5.

1998 games > 2018 games.

 

Well I kind of get the interrupts, at least for John's region (only I've completed) as they capture you at threshold points.

Enemies appear and shoot you with Bliss bullets before the scene transition.

Yeh it interferes with whatever you were doing but I understand why it is like this.
Ubi clearly had an intention to break monotony as often as possible (this, enemy spawns).

 

Yeah but the way it's executed isn't fun at all. When John goes "oh you've been a bad boy, we're going to gag & bag you right now", that's literally what happens no matter what. That's just beyond stupid. For example one time he sent his goons after me with said intentions but I managed to get airborne before he was done threatening me. The second I jumped out the plane and landed in the wilderness kilometers away from where I took off, whaddaya know, them goons just magically appear in the middle of nowhere to oneshot me into a forced cutscene which then leads to another forced gunfight etc etc... This happens in all 3 regions throughout the game.

 

Yep, just leave it open world, no forced interactions.

I really disliked the boss fights, I would rather just shoot them in the head than have this abstract fking nonsense every time. You don't even get to kill them, it is all predetermined

That's actually what I did with Jacob.
I took out the radio towers around him, then used my sniper rifle and popped him in the head. Got me the challenge for long distance shots as well.
