Anytime I overclock this PNY 1060 it throttles back after a min or two while gaming. I thought it may be a heat issue but after investigating it I found it would start to downclock at around 62c with a very small over clock. Often down to 1100 on the GPU. Memory speed never changed. At stock speeds it never throttles down that I can see. At stock it stays above 1800 (boost speed) for the GPU. I upped the power/temp limit to the max with AB but still no luck. Could this be a voltage problem with the PSU or MB? I am not using the best of PSUs. It's an EVGA 100-BQ-0600-K1 BQ 80 plus 600w. With ryzen 5 1600. No heat issues with anything that I can see. CPU is not overclocked. Ram is clocked to 2933. system is stable. No crashes. Just GPU downclocking very low when I try to overclock it just a little or alot. Edit: Even tried to under power the card and see what would happen. Still the same.
Going to try and get some screenshots. But for now im seeing it on Witcher 3. That is how I first noticed it. After an overclock the FPS would drop after a few minutes. Maybe a 10-15FPS drop. Remove the overclock and it was fine. Tested the Overclock/stock speed with Valley/superposition benchmarks and saw the same thing happening.
