At its fourth-quarter financial conference call, Activision confirmed the developer for the upcoming Call of Duty game. Activision officially noted that Black Ops developer Treyarch is the studio be... Treyarch will develop Next Call of Duty Game (2018)
Legend says they will make a new call of duty every year until the year 3000 and then after a thousand cod games they will rest, then the thousaand cod games will unite as a gigantic codzilla computer virus and take over the computers all over the world. Thats what i heard.
No, they have three studios leap-frogging each other. The games now get a 3 year dev cycle. In past years it was only 2 teams and 2 years, but that chaned with Advanced Warfare a couple years back.
Bring it on! Black Ops series is the best CoD has ever been, Treyarch always show love to the PC community too.
I still play BO3 mp. However, apparently this year's COD is boots on the ground, like WW2. For me, its makes games more interesting when there's more to the movement than simple running and jumping. It's a shame that people don't like the movement that BO3 has. Might be a single-player only experience for me this year. I had zero interest in WW2 and didn't buy it or B1 for that matter.
Meh, Activision choosing the next games studio to make the next CoD game is like trying to choose which patient should run the mental asylum... Another YouTuber who seems to have their head screwed on correctly (NSFW):
They've been using the same game engine from 2007, how could they not? Look at how much of a memory hug that WWII game is...
I know about call of duty using an altered version of the Quake 3 Arena engine, it's just the title of this news had me like.... wtf it takes only one year?
It's hard to criticise peeps using the quake engine when Mr John Carmack released it on github: https://github.com/id-Software/Quake-Tools John Carmack deserves a planet named after him for solving the mathematical problems associated with binary space partitioning.
Actually it changed back with MW3 when sledgehammer showed up on the scene. Nevertheless CoD hasn't been good in over a decade now.
