9 years, it has definitely flown in. I do have a lot more posts that many of the people on previous pages who are a decade plus, though I do think most posts were probably in the first few years.
Bought my house here 1983 and retired from the Navy here in '90 but never painted a camper blue. Was stationed at Cecil Field (VFA-174), NAS Jax ( VP-30) and Naval Station Mayport (USS Saratoga). Later Lex :>)
Just finished off my 14th year myself as a member of the community. Found this group when I was looking for suggestions on what card to purchase to replace my Voodoo 3 3000 16MB card back in the day! Back then, I really wasn't into signing up for forums, mostly reading and learning.
Nice, I was at Cecil 87-90 myself. Remember the first F/A 18's replacing the A7. Good times for young men ; ) o7
Career in the Navy was nothing but positive for me. My first duty station after A school was back in 1970 on the USS Constellation CVA-64 (Connie) our main fighter/attack aircraft was the F4 Phantom, in the Tonkin Gulf. Azz-kickin' fighter jet. Other aircraft is A7 Corsair.
I just had a look myself.. where has the time gone. I am at 14 years come Oct 2018. Sooooo much has changed
