OT: Jags decimated the Texans. 45-7 I was there we were chanting, "PAYOFFS" in the stands and doing the wave all 4th quarter. They pulled Blake 4 minuets into the 4th to a huge round of applause. He was 21-28 for 326 yards 3 tds no ints QB rating of 143.8 (158.3 is a perfect rating). Who is this Blake Bortles and i hope he locked the old one away. hmmmm Jaguars were great (as a west coaster i know all about sports media bias from New York) and Bortles is a franchise QB. Jimmy Garroppolo is the real deal and i'm delighted with a real QB for the 1st time post Kaepernick. regardless of people's uninformed opinions, there are only three QB's in the NFL playoffs with a better playoff record than Kaep. - Drew Brees, Ben Rothlisberger, and Tom Brady. commentary of "system quarterbacking" or "game manager" re: Kaepernick make as much sense as saying that Drew Brees and Russell Wilson can't be effective because they are short. in any case, the 9ers win vs. Titans was fantastic, but there are a lot less weaknesses from the Jags. that's where the 9ers shortcomings are going to hurt.
If your going to go the playoffs route Eli Manning is the greatest QB in the world because if you get him there you are getting a super bowl or hell Joe Flacco for that matter. Look at his actual career stats. Only one season has he thrown for more than 20 TD’s (21) and has never had a 4000 yard year (3600). Couple that with his oftentimes praised running capabilities he has career 16 TD’s but 21 fumbles. There are at least 15 (actually more) QB’s in the league that are better. One of them is currently playing for the 9rs. Pay Jimmy NOW!!!! On to the game this Sunday. If Blake continues his December to remember and the 9rs secondary continues to play like they have it may be a long day. But the Jags historically SUCK on the west coast. It comes down to this though. Jags want to win out, it gives them an opportunity to sneak into a first round bye. I just hope the entire team makes the trip west if you know what I mean.
