All good here but i have a question. Scaling options do not reset in driver after DDU, why is that ?

    @konta

You are correct, paexec.exe can be used to remote into a computer. Wagnard is not using it for this reason. Another feature of this program allows the elevations of user rights which allows DDU to perform it's cleaning of the file system and registry at the system level.

    " PAExec.exe " is a open source, freeware version of " psexec.exe." " PAExec.exe " has all the functions of " psexec.exe."

More information on " psexec.exe " can be found here:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/psexec

I'm going to have to agree, DDU should not leave any traces behind after it's operation.
I'm not sure if it's just an entry for the service or the exe actually remains somewhere. In any case, to remove it form the services list (which removes all traces of it?) you enter this in admin powershell/command prompt:

    Code:
    sc.exe delete PAExec

    PowerK and endbase like this.

I will contact Wagnard about your concern.

I will look at the reason why paexec is not removed because it is not supposed to happen.
For extra information, DDU does not download paexec it is unpacked from DDU itself.

    Thanks watcher for bringing this.

@konta, can you describe to me how you use DDU so I can try to repro as I wasn't able to make one yet.
System specs too. (OS version , etc...)

I am using DDU and paexec is not in my services list.
I made a registry search and according regedit the file is located at my C:\Windows folder, but I still can't find it when I navigate to this folder.
With this little research I also found out that event viewer is giving me 3 service control manager errors related to paexec service everytime I use DDU.

Can't do anything with these errors because they are made by paexec. But they are OK and can be ignored.

I don't have any problems with these errors.
Your program is excellent and I never had a single issue all the times I used it.
I am just reporting my findings regarding paexec hoping to help you in the development and optimization of the program.

    Thanks, that's perfect.
I may already have found the issue. I just need now to code a fix.

Edit: A fix should be in the next version. I have tested a fix myself and all seems good now.

Think you can find a driver cleaner here: http://maxedtech.com/asus-xonar-unified-drivers/

Wagnard, do you maybe have an answer for this? https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/the-mystery-of-the-washed-out-hdmi-colours.418166/

I'm specifically wondering if ddu misses more things than just "Adjust desktop size and position" > "No scaling > Display" in regards to coloring and if that could be my issue here?

Hi prophet, can you send me a log at wagnard28@gmail.com so I can check for your settings not removed?
    Thanks

  19. Ive noticed that the last few versions of DDU no longer boot into safe mode? It use to do it automatically when you selected a clean, but now it recommends "to boot into safe mode"...I wonder why they changed it? Its been ages since I ever booted into safe mode manually, I have no idea how to do it. I have read tapping F8 when you restart gets you into safe mode, but I tried this and nothing happened, the system booted normally...

    press windows key+r
    type msconfig and press enter
    go to tab Boot
    tick Safe boot
    click Apply
    restart
    run DDU
