Thanks :). I'm going to be very, very busy for the next month and a bit, which was unexpected. It doesn't mean I won't release a new version, just indepth changes will likely have to wait (the blocking of installations for example).

As for the remaining updates, it depends on how they are stored in the registry. I'll post how to export this information a little later. If it's okay @Apparatus once done could you send me the exported .reg file? Keeping in mind it will list all your installed programs. Once I can see how they are stored I can add them to the remove list, which won't take too long :).

When performing a clean install of Windows, this should be installed AFTER drivers and games correct?

Its probably best to install these after chipset drivers.

As GPU drivers and games like to install their own C++ versions. If you install games through steam you can just go to the game folder and delete the C++ redist folder and it wont install older versions when you first launch the game.

I ran the installer and it installed x86 packages instead of 64bit, because somehow it wrongly identified my Windows 7 Pro x64 as x86.
It also didn't uninstall any of the existing packages.

Also, where could I download the compressed installer packages? When I googled for latest 2012 one, the most recent was build 61030, but newer one is in this pack. It's extracted though, and that's not what I need. Same goes for 2008.
    I'll appreciate any links!

Just extract the installer. (Use 7-Zip of course, winrar is garbage)

11.0.61135 should be the latest for VC++ 2012.

Neither of you understand what I wrote at all.
I am looking for standalone installer packages for individual redists. The current versions.

I do NOT want the extracted files from this pack.

Are you trolling me or what?
Let me repeat it once more for the mentally challenged:
I am looking for the latest versions of standalone installers of the redist packages. What you linked (yes, I can use Google too, but you could try some reading comprehension) are NOT the latest versions. Those are in this pack, BUT that in turn only has everything extracted. I need the classical single exe installers.
Can I possibly make myself any clearer than that?

First link was official MS link with officially supported versions.
I don`t know why you are so desperate to get latest versions. The fixes in all these versions are so minor, and mostly concern security. Do you think you will increase performance namely with latest ones?

Send personal message to OP - obviously he downloaded all of them.

From developer point of view best library files are those which were used during development of a program, because it was built and tested namely with these libraries. In rare occasions fixed labraries can even break behaviour of a program. Just a lyrical note from developer.

You must be mentally challenged with that attitude and inability to google something simple.

Let me give you a pro tip; don't be demanding and insulting at the same time.
It will get you no where.

In real life it will get you in a bad situation; your keyboard warrior attitude won't work in real life.

    O'rly?
Giving a bunch of useless links (which I clearly didn't ask for) and adding "10 seconds in google" is not insulting?
Keyboard warrior? Are you for real?

Are you telling this to every person in this thread too?
Based on your post, this whole pack is useless and pointless. I don't see you telling this to the author.

Sorry for useless links, I was responding to your "I am looking for standalone installer packages for individual redists. The current versions." and the "current versions" in my brain mapped namely to officially current (not the latest from this thread).

And I am telling this to every person in this thread too. Do you see me posting here actively, reporting about trying the package?
Also be aware that even if you managed to install VC redists into the system if say a game has VC redists in its folder (beside exe-file) then it will use namely these redists (not system ones).
With the help of this package you can save a space on your SSD by installing all redists and then deleting redists copies from folders with apps/games. I even wrote tool for that and OP offers it at his site.

Updating VC redists to latest version regularly can give moral satisfaction. Of course for applications which suffered from bugs updating to fixed versions is a benefit. But another problem is - we should see the change log, what was fixed and what apps were affected. And I don`t see that info posted here.

But why should I talk people out of trying? Harm is hypothetical (and satisfaction is real) so let them do this...

PS Ever heard term "dll hell"?

OK but seriously the latest known versions are IN THE AIO INSTALLER, I don't get why you need the full installers for them. Once they are installed it doesn't matter what format they started in. If there is some advantage to having the installers that would be great to know.
